With the action back at him, Sapitavicius check-raised to 7000 and the button player called. On the river of 10, Sapitavicius bet a conservative 6000 and won the pot without getting called. Sapitavicius now sits with roughly around 90k chips.


Chen sends one to the tank

On a turn board of 2 8 A 2, a player bet 5700 and was called by button player Guofu Chen. After the dealer flipped open the river of 2, action was checked to Chen who bet 10,000. Chen won the hand when his opponent tank-folded. Chen is up to around 57k.

Goh takes it from Patni twice

Thomas Goh has Kunal Patni’s number twice in a arow. In the first interaction, the board showed 10 9 7 K 6 and 12k to fight for. Goh bet 4k and Patni folded. On the next hand, Goh took another 3k pot against Patni.


Leonarez wins with low connectors

Jesse Leonarez needed to get something going to beef up his stack after losing to Lim Yo Hwan before the dinner break. In a hand against Sim Jae Kyung aka Simba, Leonarez bet 2600 into a board of 4 Q 9 4 and Simba check-called. On the river of Q, both players settled for a check and Leonarez won with his 4 5 trips against Simba’s A 9 two pairs.


Continuation bets are the way for Paawan

Sometimes continuation bets are considered a must. Players tend to do this especially when they were the initial raisers and action was checked to them. In this hand, action began with a mid position player raising to 1050, re-raised to 2675 by Paawan, then a flat-call by the mp player. At the flop of J 9 A, the mp player deferred to Paawan who continued with a 2850 bet. He was called. At the turn of 4, mp checked again, Paawan bet 5875, and with that, he was awarded the pot after his opponent folded .

 


Gaw sends short stacked Angeles to the rail

Andrew Gaw has built himself a nice fortress of chips and added more to it when he railed short stacked Antonio Angeles. After a three-bet shove all in with his 3500, Angeles got called by Gaw and it was a showdown. Gaw had A 10 and Angeles had K 3. While ahead, Gaw further improved when the board ran A 10 5 9 4. Angeles was eliminated .

 


A much needed double up for Tran

Linh Tran was ailing with a below average stack and was in need of a double up. In a hand against Antonio Angeles, Tran was all in for his remiaining 4475 on a board of 7 5 4 4 K. Angeles called and Tran won the hand with his A A against Angeles’s K 9. Tran is now up to 18k which is half the average stack.


Lee pumps up the pot then claims it

At table one, Kunal Patni raised it up to 900 and Gerald Casey felt it was good enough for a call. These two have tangled in a couple of big pots and possibly would face off again, however, Tommy Lee changed the action action and three-bet to 3500. After everyone folded around back to Patni, he called and Casey folded. At the flop of 2 4 7, both players checked. They did the same on the turn of 6. And on the river of 2, Lee led for 4000 and Patni folded.
