Jung Hwan Ki opened with 500 pre-flop and got a call from Linh Tran to bring the flop 10♠ 9♣ 7♦, which was checked by both players.
On the turn 4♦, it was Tran’s turn to bet first with 2,800 and was called by Ki. On the river 5♣, Tran made sure it was a bigger one– 14,000 and Ki just couldn’t take the heat on this one and folded. Tran wins a nice pot.
Tetsuya Tsuchikawa opened with 500 pre-flop and had callers from both blinds.
All three players checked the flop 9♠ A♠ 2♥ and on the turn 10♣ the SB player bet 1,000, the big blind folded and Tet re-popped to 2,200. SB made the call.

On a 6,000+ pot with a board of J♥ 4♦ J♠ 6♦ Randy Boone bet 3,300 and got a call from Ferenc Riech. River J♣ arrived and this time it was Riech who led out for 10,000… Too much for Mr. Boone, who threw away his hand.
Sammy Bolung opened with 1,300 pre-flop and saw Feng Zhao re-pop to 3,100. Bolung made the call to bring in the flop A♦ 3♥ Q♥. Zhao opened with 3,000 this time and Bolung just flat-called. Both players stepped on the brakes on the turn 3♠ and river 7♠ and the Bolung won the showdown after showing pocket 10s and after Zhao mucked.
Jesse Supnet opened to 575 and found a caller from mid-position. John King, from the small blind, also flat-called but the big blind (Sammy Bolung) made it 3,200. Supnet folded ad so did the mid-position player. King tanked but eventually folded as well.
Bolung shows up everyone by showing a queen and a seven. Off-suit.
With a few limpers behind him, Jae Chang raised to 1,200 pre-flop but saw three callers anyway. All four players checked the flop Q♦ 4♣ 4♥ but on the turn 2♠ the player from the cut-off bet 2,000 forcing the fold from all players except Chang.
Both the CO player and Chang checked the river K♦ and Chang showed first– A♦ A♣… Too good for the opponent who mucked his hand.

Randy Boone, the champion in the inaugural APT Poker Room event, is making some noise in this main event.
Yoichi Uesugi opened with 600 pre-flop and saw three callers including Boone from late position.
Flop: 8♥ 6♠ 8♣
Uesugi opened with 1,800 again but saw Boone re-pop to 4,500. Uesugi folded but one opponent from the mid-position made the call to bring the turn 6♥. Boone fired another 2,600 and was called to bring the river 4♥, which was checked by both players.
Boone showed A♦ 6♦ for the full-house and the opponent mucked his hand.
With only 6,000+ to work with, JR Alquiros shoved on 1,000+ pot built by Tetsuya Tsuhikawa’s pre-flop raise and an opponent’s call. Both Tet and the other opponent folded their hands to give Alquiros the pot. Alquiros, like a true gentleman, showed he had the ladies.
