John Kim entered the day second in chips and despite his chips swinging in the middle of the day, he was able to hold on, take the lead, and capture the championship title of the Main Event after defeating Gerard Bringley in the heads up round. Kim earned PhP1,132,000, the APT championship trophy, and the APT Championship Ring.
