We caught a few hands with Lester Edoc involved in the pot. The first one saw a plump pot in the middle and a board showing K♥ J♥ 3♠ 6♦ 2♣. Edoc bet 44.5k and Ian Lee tank-called. Edoc won with his K♠ 6♠ two pair. Lee mucked.
Next hand, Edoc and Michel Ghanem stared down a flop of 3♥ A♠ J♥. Edoc bet 8k, Ghanem check-raised to 18k, and Edoc called. On the 8♣ turn, Ghanem checked again, Edoc fired out 18k, and that was enough to take the pot with Ghanem folding up.
The third hand we saw with on a turn board 9♣ 5♥ 2♠ 10♦. Edoc bet 20k and Daiki Kohagi called. On the river K♣, both checked and Kohagi won with his 8♠ 5♠ pair over Edoc’s A♦ 3♦ high card.

The subsequent hand, Takeo claimed a big pot against Junichi Nakagiri. Action began with Tetsuya Tsuchikawa raising to 7k. He was called by Takeo, Nakagiri, and both blinds. At the flop 10♣ 6♥ Q♥, action was checked to Takeo who bet 14k, Nakagiri raised to 34k, everyone folded except for Takeo who raised to 54k. After tanking, Nakagiri called.
On the 5♣ turn, Takeo moved all in for 82k sending Nakagiri tanking for a long time again. The clock was eventually called. Nakagiri folded. Takeo shipped it and climbed to 220k.
Yoichi Uesugi is already low in chips and fell even further in a hand against Ian Lee. Daiki Kohagi kicked it off with a raise to 8k, Uesugi and Lee called. On the flop 3♠ J♣ 2♥, action was checked to Lee who bet 16k. Kohagi folded and Uesugi called. On the 9♠ turn, Uesugi checked, Lee moved all in and won the pot with Uesugi folding up. Uesugi will need several double ups to have fighting chance against all the big stacks at his table. He is down to 24k, just 8 bbs.
