Turn: 5

Boone check-folded on a Mogi 6,100 bet and Mogi showed the unbeatable A K before scooping the pot. The Japanese now has around 80,000.

On the river 9, Clot fired a bigger 4,200– enough to send Mishra away from the nice pot. Clot has now around 50,000.

Chhabria Not Trusting the Big Chick

Level: 9 Blinds: 300-600 Ante: 75

Shravaw Chhabria opened to 3,200 pre-flop but John King thought that the pot was still too small… Chhabria tanked but showed A Q and folded to give King the pot. Both King and Chhabria has now around 40,000 to 45,000 stack.

Split Turns to Nightmare for Acfalle

Level: 9 Blinds: 300-600 Ante: 75

Kevin Park and Franklin M. Acfalle were on the way to a boring split after the former moved all in with J J and the latter also had J J.

No way says the poker gods, who sent the K Q K 4 10 to the board and gave Park the double-up to over 30,000. Acfalle is now the one playing with 20 big blinds or so.

Lucky Luca

Level: 9 Blinds: 300-600 Ante: 75

Luca Borello survives a showdown for his tournament life when he went all-in on a board of A A 3 and an opponent called.

Luca had A J but needed to avoid some diamonds as his opponent had Q 9.

Turn 10 and river 8 didn’t make the flush and Borello is alive and now up to over 55,000.

Huntly Drops Khoa

Level: 9 Blinds: 300-600 Ante: 75

On a flop of 9 5 10, Dennis Huntly fired 8,000 on a raised pot but saw a raise to 16,000 by Vi Khoa. Huntley replied with a shove to 35,000 total and Khoa called.

Huntly: 9 9
Khoa: A 10

Turn 4, river Q was no sort of trouble for Huntly, who doubles up to around 80,000. Khoa drops to around 20,000.

Tech Dodges Jacks Full of Zhang

Level: 9 Blinds: 300-600 Ante: 75

Bobby Zhang opened with 1,400 pre-flop and had one caller but saw Jojo Tech re-pop to 3,600. Zhang wanted more and put in 10,775 total. The other player folded and Tech made the call.

Flop: J 6 5

Zhang fires 8,650 and Tech called.

Turn: 5

Zhang check-called a Tech bet of 13,000.

River: 7

Zhang checked again and this appears to confuse Tech, who just decided to check behind.

It was a very good check: Zhang showed J J for the full house and Tech breathes a sigh of relief as he stays alive in the tournament although he drops to below 40,000. Zhang climbs the ladder and is now up to around 132,000.
