After starting today’s play with around 60,000, Tran has taken some hits that brought him near the 35K-mark. A pre-flop win over Flo Campomanes put him right back over the 40K-mark.
Jay Tolon limped from under-the-gun and saw Arnold Bathan raise all-in his final 9,300. Seitaro wanted to join this party and flat-called while Tolon also called.
Both Tolon and Seitaro just want to see the rest of the board K♦ J♦ Q♣ 7♦ K♣ and checked all the way,
Tolon: 9♠ 9♦
Bathan: A♦ 8♠
Seitaro: 6♥ 6♠
Tolon wins the pot to climb to over 82,000; Seitaro is now down to 20,000; and Bathan is busted out from the main event.
On a board of A♥ K♠ Q♠ K♣ 7♥ David Steicke check-called Jerwin Pasco’s bet of 3,700. Pasco mucked and gave the nice pot to Steicke, who now has around 65,000 after the win. Pasco drops to 35,000.
From the big blind, Carlos Chang shoved after 3 limpers and was successful in forcing the fold from all opponents. Chang climbs to roughly 20,000
We didn’t see the action before the pair checked the river but we saw Do Hoang Anh and Minh Mau Nguyen involved in a 40,000 pot.
Mihh Mau: A♥ Q♥
Hoang Anh: A♦ 2♥
Minh Mau out-kicks Hoang Anh and he wins the pot. Hoang Anh drops to around 70,000.
Franklin M. Acfalle Sr. is out of the Main Event after shoving with 15,000 and had a caller in Jason Powers.
Acfalle Sr. was way ahead with A♠ A♦ and had Powers dominated with just A♣ Q♠
Right on the flop Q♥ 5♥ 3♥, Powers earned the chance to actually pull off the bad beat. The turn 4♣ gave Powers new out! Nope, the straight didn’t come for Powers but another lady Q♦ came! Acfalle Sr. gets busted out via a bad beat.
Acfalle Jr. is still in the running though. We have 107 players left in the field.
Adam Song woke up with A♠ A♣ and shoved with less than 32,000 or so and found a caller from the button who had 6♥ 6♣.
Song just needed to avoid a bad beat to survived and he did when the dealer sang the same tune boarding 5♠ 4♣ 8♣ 9♦ 9♣ (Although any post-flop seven would have changed the tune for Song).
Song doubles through to around 65,000.
With a 10,000 pot and a flop of Q♣ 10♣ 5♠, Terry Gonzaga fired 9,000 and was called by Kodai Ishihara to bring the turn 7♦.
Gonzaga shoves his final 15,000 and was called by Ishihara!
Gonzaga was ahead with 5♥ 5♣ but Ishahara was seriously buying his flush with A♣ 3♣.
River K♣ gave the Japanese the flush and Ishihara busts Gonzaga! The Japanese climbs to around 120,000.
Facing a 1,500 raise from Jim Bonanno pre-flop, Kai Paulsen moved all-in for his final 8,675 after starting the day with over 15,000. Bonanno tanks then folds to give Paulsen the small pot. Paulsen has around 11,000, still alive.
