No more royalty on the turn 10♦ and river 3♠ and Hong wins the big pot to climb to about 170,000! Easily the chip leader today in Day 1B! To note, just a few minutes/hands ago, Hong’s set of threes brought him to the century mark!
Sebastian Benz just busted out Hoang Nguyen, who was holding K♠ K♣. After a raised flop 4♣ 5♠ 2♥, Benz bet 4,100 and his opponent raised to 12,600. Benz flatted.On the turn 8♣, Benz check-called the all-in of the opponent and we have a premium hand showdown with Benz showing A♣ A♥. No cowboy on the river 8♥ and Benz wins the pot to climb to over 80,000.
Crippled in an earlier hand, Gerard Bringley shoved with A♦ K♠ for just 4,000 and four players easily called his shove.

Eric Shyong tried to isolate the action by moving all-in for his final 9,1000 but Ryan Hong called as the other player folded.

Needing another lady, Shyong wouldn’t find her on the turn 4♣ and river 7♦ and he joins Bringely on the way out of the Main Event.
Neil Arce doubled-up with A♦ 10♣ against Gerard Bringley’s ladies on a board of A♥ 5♠ 10♥ 4♠ J♣ but would lose those earned chips two hands later when his king-queen ran into an ace-king for bust out of the main event.
Jojo Tech led out pre-flop with 1,100 and had 2 callers. Dealer flopped 10♣ 4♠ 2♥ and Tech opened first again with 2,100. The big blind called and the other opponent folded. The BB player check-called Tech’s 6,000 bet on the turn J♣ but check-folded on Tech’s 12,000-bet on the river K♦.
The recent APT Asian Series Cebu champion now jumps to around 50,000.
On a board of 3♦ 3♣ 3♥ 5♣, Inge Forsmo from under the gun bet 3,500 but saw Nang Quang Nguyen raise to 8,000. Forsmo, after just a few seconds declared all-in for roughly 24,000 total. Nguyen quickly made the call and it was right one as he was ahead with 4♦ 6♦ for the straight and was up against Forsmo’s A♣ Q♣ for the flush draw.
Forsmo needed a club to stay in the Main Event and got just that when the river 4♣ much to the frustration of Nang Quang.
Forsmo jumped to over 55,000 after this hand while Nang Quang is now short-stacked.
Manuel Blaschke, who was busted out earlier in the day has re-entered Day 1B of the Main Event. After winning the High Rollers event earlier in the week, it looks like he want to prove himself again in this tournament.
In one of the hands in his return, Blaschke opened for 900 pre-flop and had 2 callers to bring the flop 3♦ K♠ 7♥. The big blind checked, Blaschke fired another 900, Sammy Bolung called and the BB folded his hand.
On the turn J♥, Blaschke led out again with 2,000 and was called by Bolung. On the river 4♦, Blaschke took one last shot at the pot with a larger 5,500– still not enough to force the fold from Bolung.
Blaschke mucked his hand and Bolung shows 7♠ 5♠ to win the pot.
Two minutes away from our one-hour dinner break! And one hopeful, Terry Gonzaga had an early dinner treat when he doubled up from a (very, very) short stack to around 6,000.
