Kiem rails Joseph in the first 20 minutes

Level: 1 Blinds: 25-50 Ante:

Peter Janghwan Kiem has quickly doubled up here at the Main Event after railing Hope Anthony Joseph just 20 minutes into the tournament. Catching the action at the flop of Q Q 7, and a raised pot pre flop, Joseph check-called Kiem’s bet of 1250 to see the turn card land 10. Again Joseph checked to Kiem who sent out 2300 worth of chips, and Joseph smooth-called once more. Then on the river of 7, Joseph checked again, Kiem bet 7000 but instead of his usual call, Joseph raised all-in and Kiem snap called. Kiem won the hand with his 7 7 quads against Joseph’s Q 10 full house.

Level: 8 Blinds: 250-500 Ante: 50

On a flop of J 4 4, Yoichi Uesugi shoved about 27,000 but found the bad news when Ha Duong snap-called with pocket jacks. Turn 4 and river 7 completed the board and the Japanese’s stack gets crippled hands away from Day 2. Duong climbed to around 55,000 while Uesugi dropped to below 17,000.

Flop: 5 A 6

Edoc check-called Tet’s bet of 5,500 to bring the turn 2.

On the river J, Edoc checked again while Tet bet a bigger 10,500… Edoc was forced to go into the tank before making the fold. Tet showed the Big Slick and he climbs to over 70,000.

Level: 8 Blinds: 250-500 Ante: 50

Yoichi Uesugi opened pre-flop with 1,200 but saw Jason Powers make it 3,200. Randy Boone thought both bets were too low and put in 6,200 total! Uesugi folded but Powers made the call.

Flop: 2 5 Q

Powers checked and saw Boone fire another 10,000. Powers considered his options before folding and showing A K.

Boone returned the favor and showed A Q and he now has around 48,000.

King had the Big Slick for two pairs but Mogi showed 10 J for the trips.
