Short stacks battle: Hirosaka vs Ye

Keisuke Hirosaka is hanging in there with his short stack. He faced off against Wang Ye in an all in shove preflop.

The board 2 4 J 3 7 improved Hirosaka to a higher pair and he doubled up to 110k while Ye fell to 27k.


Peng Fei Liu vs Nishant Sharma

There are 25 players left in the running with two more levels to go. Action is quite heated out there as we get closer and closer to the bubble of 19 players. One of the first hands we caught in this level was Peng Fei Liu raising to 11k then called Nishant Sharma’s three-bet to 36.5k.

At the flop of 6 4 4, Sharma continued with a 27.5k bet but Peng answered with a 60k raise. Sharma opted to fold and fight another day.


A nice boat for Chan Ying Kit

Chan Ying Kit landed himself a sweet double up in a hand against Michael Soyza. Catching the action on the flop of 4 4 2, Hajime Iwakura bet 5k and was called by both Chan and Soyza. On the 10 turn, all three players checked, but on the river 5, Chan bet 18k, Soyza raised to 40k, Iwakura check-folded, and Chan jammed it all in. Soyza called the extra 26.6k.

Henrik Tollefsen rails Alok Birewar

Henrik Tollefsen is the last APT Main Event champion left in the running and he has just sent a player home to boost up his stack. Alok Birewar was all in on a flop of K 3 on a board of 7 6 8. Tollefsen had A A. The turn J and river 9 failed to produce the outs Birewar needed.

Tollefsen up to 240k in chips.


Zhang Xun falls to Wu Kui Song

Zhang Xun’s day ended in a crushing hand against Wu Kui Song. The completed board was J-9-5-10-7 with Zhang holding J-9 two pair and Wu with J-8 straight.


Good call for Saul Oliver

Level: 14 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 500

Saul Oliver is sporting a stack over 400k and just added a little more in a hand against Choong Kian Weng. The hand kicked off with Song Zhenyu also in the hand but when the flop came 3 4 5, Song folded to Choong’s 15.5k bet while Olivercalled. On the 9 turn, both players checked. Then on the J river, Choong bet 43k and Oliver check-called. Choong opened up A 7 that was no good against Oliver’s 6 6.

Nishant Sharma just railed Hyun Thae Hwang out of the running. On a board of 10-A-4-2, Sharma bet 24k onto a big pile in the middle. Hwang called. On the Ace river card, Hwang moved all in and Sharma snap called. Sharma had A-4 full house. Hwang mucked and exited.

Kilian Loeffler eliminated Alberto Morales with A 10 besting K Q on a board of 6 A 3 10 9.

Weiyi Zhang climbed to 400k after railing Chen Dai Ji. Zhang had pocket kings.

Tetsuya Tsuchikawa eliminated past APT Main Event champion Huu Dung Nguyen.


Shravan Chhabria with a double up from Loeffler

Level: 14 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 500

Shravan Chhabria felt he had one move left with his 52k short stack and decided to shove on top of Peng Fei Liu’s 8500 raise that was called by Kilian Loeffler. Peng folded but Loeffle wanted to dance and tossed in the call.
