The flop 2♣ J♦ K♥ was checked by both Jay Lubas and Vincent Rubianes but the turn Q♣ heated things up a bit.
Lubas opened to 1,200 only to see Rubianes respond with a raise to 3,500. Lubas made the call.
The river 5♦ arrived and this time, it was Rubianes who opened the betting with a big 6,125… Lubas tank-called but was shown the bad news 9♦ 10♦ by Rubianes, who takes down this healthy pot.
How to Crack Aces by Kim Dong Hyun:
After the turn on a board of 8♣ 7♠ 5♦ 3♥ and a healthy pot already brewing, Dong Hyun made a big bet of 4,000. The hi-jack player called. The river J♠ arrived and Dong Hyun fired another 6,200 to the middle… HJ tanked a bit but made the call.
Dong Hyun showed 5♠ 5♥ and cracked the A♠ A♥ of his opponent.
We did not see the specific action on this one and the dealer already tabled the community 6♠ 2♦ 3♦ 7♥ 4♣…
Hyun Dong Jin apparently called an opponent’s river bet and was shown the Ace-King… Good decision as Jin had the ladies and adds more to his stack.
Four players including Roh Ian limped into the pot to bring the flop of 3♣ 5♥ 5♣.
A middle position player opened with a 350-bet and found two callers from both blinds.
All three players checked the turn K♠ but action heated up after the river 7♠: MP player bets 1,200 and Roh fires back with a 3,600 raise as the other player got out.
MP player tank-folded and Roh showed 3♠ 5♦ for what was a flopped fullhouse.
The blinds called a hi-jack player’s bet of 450 preflop.
From the SB, The Vu Van checked his option and saw the BB player postflop 10♦ 4♠ 2♥. The original raiser got out of the way and Vu Van made the call.
Both players checked the turn 5♠ and river 9♦ and Vu Van showed K♥ 10♥ as the BB mucked his hand.
Canada’s Linh Tran continues to be aggressive… For the past three days now actually and it has been working so far with a 3rd place finish in the High Rollers Event.
Will it work again in Day 1A of the Main Event? So far, that is the case.
Four players were in the pot worth around 2,000 after the flop of 6♦ 8♥ 8♠.
Tran, acting from the big blind, bet 1,000 and found the mid-position player as a willing customer. The two other players originally in the pot both moved out of the way.
Tran fired another 500 on the turn 10♦ which was enough to force his opponent to fold…
A middle position player opened the action to 350 preflop. The button player made the call as well as Joel Jeremias, the man from the big blind.
Flop: 6♦ 5♣ J♣
Jeremias checked his option but saw the original raiser add 550 to the middle. Button folded and Jeremias decided to call once again.
Both players checked the turn 2♦ and river Q♣ and Jeremias is rewarded for sticking around when his 8♠ 8♥ was good enough to beat his opponent’s 8♣ 7♠, a busted straight draw.
When we reached one table, three cards 3♣ 3♥ K♠ were already on the board and 3 players already went all-in.
Adel Demian: A♦ 3♠
Alciato Nathieu: 10♦ 3♦
Small Blind Player: K♥ Q♦
The turn A♠ filled Demian’s boat and the river 9♠ did not change anything to give the main pot (worth 15,000) to Adel.
Alciato happily “settles” for the side pot, which was actually bigger worth 25,000.
