Day 2 ends with Final 8 formed!

Day 2 is over! The Final 8 has been formed! Players will return tomorrow at 130pm for the race to the title. Here are the contenders:

Jin Yong eliminate in 9th place – PHP 324,400

Jin Yong met his end in 9th place at the hands of Roger Spets. Action folded to the small blind Yong, he limped, Spets checked. At the flop K 4 6, Yong bet 6k, Spets called. On the 3 turn, Yong all in, Spets called.

Yong mucked upon seeing Spets’s 2 5 straight. The river J completed the board. Yong earned PHP 324,400 for his finish.

Bobby Zhang raised to 13k and found two callers, Iori Yogo and bb Jin Yong. On the flop K 8 2, no bets landed. On the K turn, Zhang bet 11k, Yogo called, Yong folded. On the 5 river, Zhang sent out 78k, Yogo tank-called. Zhang won it with 5 5 full house.

Lim Yohwan raised to 14k, Antohny Thong Boon Tee three-bet to 75k, Takao Shimizu all in, Yohwan folded, snap-call by Tee.

The board didn’t help Shimizu improve instead Tee ran up a nut flush to ship it and eliminate Shimizu in 10th place. Shimizu earned PHP 277,300.

Iori Yogo and Seo Dongkyoon went at it preflop that led to all ins. Yogo had K K, the at-risk player  Seo with A J. The board ran 5 3 6 6 3 to end end the bubble round and bring on the money.


Lim Yohwan happy to get lucky

Lim Yohwan put the rest of his stack out front with K 2 and Aditya Sushant called with a dominating A Q. The board ran 10h} 2 9 8 8 for a happy double up to Yohwan.


Masaki Fujitani lands a double off Lim Yohwan

Two short stacks jammed it. Masaki Fujitani all in with 9 9, Lim Yohwan with 8 8, the board threw blanks for a double up to Fujitani. He now has 110k, Yohwan down to 47k.
