Iori Yogo wins the Championships Event!

The final hand of the Championships Event has been dealt! Anthony Thong Boon Tee could not match up to Iori Yogo and watched his stack being slowly shaved down. Tee’s final stand saw Yogo raise to 100k that was called. On the Q 7 6 flop, Tee bet 100k, Yogo raised to 300k, Tee called. On the Q turn, Tee checked, Yogo bet 250k, Tee shoved, and a quick call from Yogo.

The river 10 did not improve Tee and he settled for 2nd place. He earned PHP 1,915,000 for his strong performance.

As for Iori Yogo, he becomes the first player to win two Championships Events! Both of them were won right here at Resorts World Manila. Congratulations to Iori Yogo!! He takes home the PHP 2,872,800 first prize, another APT Championship Ring, and the Championship trophy.

After several uncalled shoves, Anthony Tee was called with his A 5 by Iori Yogo with A K. Looking like an elimination was eminent, the board ran Q 8 Q 7 8 to split the pot and keep Tee in the game.
