Who will reach the Main Event Final 8? Day 3 at 1pm today! NLH 1 resumes with 83 players

From a record breaking 442-entries down to 57 players, welcome to Main Event Day 3 of the Asian Poker Tour’s biggest event of the year, the APT Championships Philippines 2017 at Resorts World Manila! Today will play down until the Final 8 is established. The money round begins at 45 players which means, twelve players will fall empty handed.

Dominating the field as the chip leader is Korea’s SJ Kim with a massive 849,500 in chips. Kim is a past APT Main Event champion having won it back in December at the APT Finale Macau 2016. Coming in running second in command is Japan’s Asakura Yasayuki with 630,000 and in third is Filipino Michael De Leon with 623,000. You can view all the chip counts here.

The Main Event had a USD 1,100 entry fee for a huge prize pool of USD 428,740. The payouts wll begin distributing at its lowest of USD 1,710 while the eventual winner will receive the largest piece of the pie of USD 105,530.

No Limit Hold’em 1 resumes with 83 players remaining

Due to yesterday’s massive Main Event Day 2 field, the No Limit Hold’em 1 side event had to be pushed back a couple of hours. With the large amount of players eager and waiting to enter, a second entry flight was added in the evening. The combined flights had a total of 204 entries, each one ponying up the USD 440 entry fee. The night ended with a total of 83 players remaining. They will return today for the race to the finish. Prize pool and payouts to be announced.

High Rollers event at 3pm today

Also on the tournament floor today is the High Rollers event with a USD 3,300 entry fee. Game time is at 3pm. This is a scheduled two-day event.

Starting stack: 40,000 (200x starting big blind)
Blind levels: 40 minutes
Late registration: varies depending on the number of players

APT Championships 2017 Satellite

The next major event is the APT Championships 2017 with a USD 2,200 entry fee. For those looking to score a seat at a cheaper price, there will be a satellite offered to the event at 6pm. Buy-in is USD 240. One seat per ten players will be awarded.
