Unstoppable Chan Lok Ming wins a third series title; 19 remain at the Monster Stack

Plenty of action on penultimate day of APT Taiwan 2020 at the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association with three events running simultaneously. Wilson Lim won the Championships Event which we already posted a story on, the other two were the Monster Stack and the Five Card PLO Hi Turbo. The Monster Stack bagged up with 19 players remaining led by Wang Wei Chu. The PLO was won by Hong Kong’s Chan Lok Ming for his third series title. Recaps on the two events below.

The two day Monster Stack event brought in a combined 72 entries over two flights. Only 19 survived led by Wang Wei Chu.

The unstoppable Chan Lok Ming bags a third title

Once again it was Hong Kong’s Chan Lok Ming basking in all the glorya after taking down his third series title at the 5 Card PLO Hi Turbo. Incredibly, this was his 8th series cash. He has widened his lead at the APT Player of the Series race.

Patrick Liang delivered the bubble. On a flop Q J 3, a short stack player was all in with 8 9 4 2 5, Liang had A K 4 8 8, the turn was 9 and river Q

Once the money was guaranteed, it was a rush to the cage leaving Liang and Chan Lok Ming in battle for the title. Ming had a Liang well covered and proceeded to ship it in. The board was 4 4 3 5 8, Liang with 2 J 4 K 7, Ming with 3 3 9 8 Q
