Today’s lineup: Head Hunter, Ladies Of Poker, final day of the Champions Cup

Happy Friday everyone! Welcome to another action filled day at the APT Championships Poker 2017 here at Resorts World Manila. Before we kick off the Main Event tomorrow, indulge yourselves in a couple of our fun side events.

A large crowd is expected today as the popular Head Hunter event kicks off

Today we will start with the highly popular Head Hunter event. This is one of the most brutal games in the lineup with players constantly testing each other with nonstop shoves as early as the starting gun. While everyone knows there are “no friends” at the poker table, this event is the epitome of a bounty hunter showing absolutely no mercy.

Event Details:
Buy-in: USD 440
Bounty payment: USD 100 per knockout
Starting stack: 10,000 (200x starting big blind)
Blind duration: 30 minutes per level
Game time: 1pm

An hour later, the Ladies of Poker event graces the tournament floor. While the poker scene is highly dominated by men, this tournament gives the women their own special moment to try to outshine each other at the felt. The eventual winner will be crowned with her own special title and trophy.

Event Details:
Buy-in: USD 220
Starting stack: 10,000 (200x starting big blind)
Blind duration: 30 minutes per level
Game time: 2pm

Main Event Mega Satellite

With the APT Main Event coming up tomorrow, players can take part in the Main Event Mega Satellite for a chance to win a seat for a much lower cost. One seat per ten players will be awarded. Buy-in is USD 120. Cards are in the air at 5pm. Yesterday saw 8 players win a seat with 83 entries total.

Race to the trophy at the Sam Razavi Champions Cup

Today will also see the conclusion of the Sam Razavi Champions Cup that began yesterday. There were 39 champions in attendance with only 9 surviving the intense and grueling battle. Among them were previous APT Main Event champions Shinichiro Tone, Julius Malzanini, and Sam Razavi. Joining them are Dhanesh Chainani, William Kang, Nick Blackburn, Kim Jung Whan, Yuri Ishida, and massive chip leader Hieu Trung Le.

Players will be battling it out for the USD 7,570 first place purse and the stunningly gorgeous glass champions cup trophy. Only five players will see a return so four of those champions will get booted without any profit.

You can watch the Final 8 of this event in the APT Twitch channel. There will be a 30 minute delay.
