PKR Sends Earl Ang to APT Asian Series Cebu!

In 2008, online poker upstart Adrian “zlatan35” Allain qualified via a $5 lottery tournament at PKR before eventually bagging the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Macau 2009 Main Event title as he won US$391,556 for his first place finish!

Fast forward to 2011, another online player will have the chance to duplicate Mr. Allain’s feat and bring home cash and prestige, this time at the inaugural event of the APT Asian Series in Lahug, Cebu City, Philippines.

After gruelling satellite tournaments at PKR, online poker’s leader in cutting edge graphics and realistic gameplay, it was Earl Edison Ang from the Philippines who managed to survive the 4-stage satellite tournament, which started last November 29, 2010. For his efforts, the Filipino won an APT Asian Series Cebu package which includes a Main Event seat worth PHP 50,000.

The APT Asian Series Cebu is scheduled from January 10 to 18, 2011 with Day 1A and Day 1B of the main event set on Thursday (January 13) and Friday (January 14), respectively. Day 2 is on Saturday (January 15) before the main event resumes action on Monday (January 17).

Starting January 17, 2011, PKR once again offers online players to qualify for big international events. Another four-stage satellite tournament is in the offing at PKR with the winner advancing to the APT Philippines 2011 Main Event. Visit www.pkr.com for details on how to qualify.
