Bubble Protection

Bubble Protection is one of the best Main Event incentives to take advantage of. For those new to this promo, it is a type of insurance policy during the bubble round. If a protected player busts on the bubble, that player will receive their buy-in back in the form of APT tournament credits. Since its inception, numerous protected players have been saved from walking away empty-handed.

To be eligible, all you need to do is follow these three simple steps:

  • Pre-register
  • Draw for your seat before the starting time of 1pm
  • Have your chips put into play on the first deal of Level 1

*Eliminated players wanting bubble protection on the next starting day will have to qualify again.

APT Philippines defending champion and reigning APT champion

Through the years, the APT has produced many Main Event champions, some earning their first major title. That was the case for APT Philippines I 2019 with Philippines Christopher Mateo rising victorious and earning his largest live score of PHP 4,376,000 (~US$ 83,800). Mateo has already been spotted at the festival. He will surely be looking to defend his title.

Christopher Mateo

While Mateo is the APT Philippines defending champion, the Asian Poker Tour reigning champion is Hong Kong’s Tsang Dicky Siu Hang. Tsang won the recently concluded APT Korea Incheon Main Event for KRW 59,485,00 (~USD 50,300).

Who will be the next APT Main Event champion? It’s anyone’s game! It could be you!
