The Main Event set a new record as the largest prize pool seen in Taiwan with 523 runners ponying up TWD 33,000 for a pot of TWD 15,219,300 (~USD 493,000). Out of that, 53 players earn a piece. Results and recap coming up as soon as the event concludes. Good luck to all the players!
Other events
High Rollers #1 resumes
Also running today is the final day of the High Rollers #1 event. 89 runners turned up for that event. With buy-in at TWD 86,000, the prize pool amounted to TWD 6,906,400 (~USD 224,300). 15 players will see a dividend. The eventual winner pockets the lion’s share TWD 1,845,700 (~USD59,900). That game is underway at the time of this posting.
HIT AND RUN – Championships Event satellite
This unique satellite kicks off at 6pm. Buy-in is TWD 5,500. Players start with 5,000 chips. Once a player accumulates 50,000, that stack can automatically be redeemed for a seat to the Championships Event. Any remaining chips can be used to try for a second seat.
CHAMPIONSHIPS EVENT – TWD 5 Million Guaranteed
The Championships Event begins tomorrow. Buy-in is 49,500. This is the second featured tournament of the series. Like the main, it comes equipped with a TWD 5 Million guarantee. It runs from February 27 to March 3.
Players begin with a deep 50,000 stack, opening blinds at 100-200, levels increase at a a slow 60 minute pace. Cards in the air at 1pm. Each starting day plays 8 levels. Schedule below:
