Before those events take the floor, Day 3 of the Main Event will resume with 39 players returning to the arena.
Main Event Day 3 underway at 1pm
We are into Day 3 of the Main Event with 39 players remaining out of the 186 total entry field. Entering the day as the chip leader is Malaysia’s Victor Chong with 683,000 in chips. Trailing close behind is Vietnam’s Van Sang Nguyen with 613,000 chips. In third is Singapore’s Dhanesh Chainani with 506,000 in chips.
The agenda for today’s Main Event contenders is to play until the Final 8 is established. The money stage will begin at 27 players with a guaranteed payout of USD 2,980. The eventual winner will scoop up the USD 67,660 first place purse, the APT Championship Ring, and the APT Championship trophy. Today will also determine who will bubble and if that player was insured with bubble protection. Only 10 of the returnees are protected.

Side events today
There are two side events today both running at different times. The highly popular Monster Stack begins at 2pm. Things to know about this event:
- Starting stack is 30,000
- Blinds start at 25-50
- Blind duration is 30 minutes
- Two-day event
- Buy-in is USD 550
The WeLoveSport.com Deep Stack Turbo will have cards flying at 6pm. This is a one-day event with usually lots of fast action. Buy-in is USD 110.
Slovenian poker pro Casey Kastle wins the PLO Hi event

Last night, a highly decorated poker pro won the Pot Limit Omaha Hi event, Slovenia’s Casey Kastle. Kastle overcame a field of 35 players, defeating Filipino pro Mike Takayama at the heads up round to earn the USD 5,430 first prize and the event trophy.

Pete Chen wins the WLS Deep Stack Turbo

The WeLoveSport Deep Stack Turbo attracted a massive field of 198 entries. With an affordable buy-in of USD 110, the prize pool grew to USD 19,210. Taking it to the finish line was Chinese Taipei’s Pete Yen-Han Chen defeating Spain’s Daniel Torras at the heads up round. Chen earned the USD 4,800 first place purse and the event trophy.
