MAIN EVENT Day 2: Last hour to jump in! 264 runners and counting

Now that the two starting days have completed, we enter Day 2 of the MAIN EVENT. 149 players advanced to today’s round. So far there are 264 combined entries which means the 10M guaranteed prizepool is but a memory. The players are now looking at a pot of around PHP 14M. For those on the rails, you can still get in on the action. Registration is open for one last hour and will close at the start of Level 10. Buy-in is PHP 55,000 with starting stack of 25,000. 

Day 2 gets underway at 1pm. We kick off at Level 9, blinds 300/600 ante 600. Once registration closes, the official prizepool will be posted along with the payouts. A total of 8 levels will be played. Each level runs 60 minutes. At this time there are 6,600,000 total chips in play with average stack at 44,295. We will have LIVE UPDATES on the action once the freezeout stage begins. 

Day 2 Chip Counts (includes seat assignments)

Entering as the overall chip leader is Singapore’s Ang Boon Seng with 158,900. He amassed his stack at Day 1B. Korea’s Chul Ho Bae topped Day 1A with 133,400 earning him second highest rank. The field will also see 11 APT champions scattered around the room along with the festival’s early winners Phachara Wongwichit, Marco Almerez, and Alfie Poetra. Last night’s side event winner Amanpreet Singh is expected to jump in today. 

The APT Finale Philippines 2018 kicked off on November 27 and will run until December 6 at Resorts World Manila. The Main Event took center stage on November 28. A champion will be crowned on December 2. 

Other events today

For those that missed the mark today, we have three events running alongside the main. At 2pm, the NLH Short Deck – Shot Clock – event takes place. Buy-in is PHP 16,500. This is a trophy event. You can earn points towards the APT Player of the Series race. 

Two satellites will run later in the day. The High Rollers satellite is at 5pm. Buy-in is PHP 11,000. Then at 6pm is the Championships Event satellite for PHP 18,000. One seat will be awarded per ten players for each of these satellites.
