HomeAfter three successful starting days, the APT Vietnam Ho Chi Minh Championships resumes at Pro Poker Club with 203 players kicking off Main Event Day 2. Although the money is still at a distance with 84 places paid, players will be looking to inch closer to the enormous prize pool worth VND 9,680,600,000.
This is the largest-ever seen live poker prize pool in Vietnam history with the previous one also set by the Asian Poker Tour, the first international brand to bring high caliber events to Vietnam. Out of that massive pie, VND 1,636,720,000 awaits the eventual winner.

Running down the numbers, the Main Event drew in a combined total of 499 entries with each ensuing starting day growing in volume. Day 1A set the tone at 100; Day 1B drew in 147; and Day 1C stormed in with 252 entries.
Entering Day 2 as the pack leader is China’s Day Xuan Canh who topped Day 1A with 193,000. Koreans fill up the next two spots, Lee Sang Jiu with 191,700 and Kang Suk Hyun with 190,900.
While these are the players to catch up to, a couple of notables aren’t far behind. APT Main Event title-holder Choong Kian Weng is in 6th rank with 172,000 and CoinPoker High Rollers 1 champion Huynh Tan Dong aka Pegasus is in 7th rank with 171,700.
Day 2 gets underway promptly at 1pm. Late players will see their bags opened when they arrive. The game picks up at Level 11 blinds 500-1000 ante 100. Average stack is 61,357. Total chips in play 12,419,500. Play will stop at the end of Level 18.
