HomeAt opening day festivities of the APT Philippines Championships 2018, Asian Poker Tour CEO Jeff Mann announced the promotion of Lloyd Fontillas to the position of General Manager and Executive Tournament Director. Fontillas is one of the most highly experienced and well respected figures in the poker industry worldwide and was recently invited to join the Board of Directors of the reputable Poker Tournament Directors Association (PTDA).

“Lloyd has been an integral and important part of APT since the very beginning, I am delighted that he will now be taking on the day to day business of APT and guiding its future growth and development,” said Mann.
For those who frequent the APT, Fontillas is one figure that can’t be missed. As tournament director, he sets the schedules; order of play and type of events, and is full time on the floor ensuring everything runs smoothly. Fontillas has been with the brand since 2009, starting out as a specialist then took a more active role as Tournament Director in 2010. Six years later, in 2016, he was promoted to Executive Tournament Director.
As GM, Fontillas will be part of the decision making process of the brand’s future development. According to Fontillas, “he intends to take the brand to the next level”, this includes ensuring a great overall experience for everyone and continuously delivering high caliber APT events in various parts of the world.
