Iori Yogo busted out at the hands of Kamran Siddiqui.
Justin Lowe busted out in a hand that saw two callers to his all-in, Samad Razavi, and Paul Tartak. Tartak won that hand.
Flo Campomanes entered the day below starting stack and was looking to land a double up early. He was granted that moment when he was all in against Casey Kastle on a board showing 3♥ 4♠ 7♥. Kastle had 6♠ 7♠ and Campomanes had A♣ A♦. With the turn of 10♣ and river of 9♦ of no help to Kastle, Campomanes doubled up.
R.S. Vincentius had a fairly playable stack at the start of the day but when he tangled in a pot against Michael Mariakis, his chips quickly disappeared. During the hand, both players were all in on a board showing 8♠ A♣ 3♥. Mariakis had A♦ 3♦ for a dominating two pair over Vincentius A♠ Q♣. With the turn of 6♥ and river of 7♠, Vincentius was sent to the rail while Mariakis’ stack grew to over 60000.
Camilla Samsing from Norway entered the day as the lowest stack with 3225 chips. Unfortunately her attempt to double up failed and was the first casualty of the day.
The room is buzzing at the start of Day 2! Here are some interesting match ups in different tables:
The current chip leader, Kwan Kit Kwok with 107,825 chips is seated with Day 1A’s second-in-chips, Hendrik Appel, and Casey Kastle is also on that table.
Marc Joseph with 105,750 chips is in a separate table with another hefty stack, Peter Nguyen, plus mid-stacked Azusa Maeda and Yuri Ishida.
David Steicke is tabled with Norbert Koh and several short stacks looking to avoid elimination.
