Acting first was Kim Do Kwuen who raised to 1700, Lee three-bet to 4600, and Kwuen called. The flop was 8♦ 9♦ 8♣, Kwuen checked, Lee bet 3700, Kwuen called. At the turn of K♠, both players checked which signalled the river card to be dealt, 5♥. Kwuen checked, Lee bet 6600 and Kwuen called. Lee won with his J♣ J♠.

Big double up for Kyungrok Kim. It was one of those hands… Action began with Kenji Kurashina limping in, Andrew Gaw raised to 3k, Kim three-bet, Kurashina shoved, Gaw folded, and Kim was also all in.Kim had pocket aces and Kurashina had pocket kings. The board was dry and Kim doubled up to around 110k chips.
Jeremy Giam got a bit of action with his raise to 2k. Marcuss Liow, Sotiris Axiotiadis, and Noriko Suzuki called. At the flop of Q♦ 9♠ 4♠, action checked to Giam who bet 4200. He found one caller in Marcuss Liow and the dealer turned Q♣. Giam was on a betting roll and laid out 7200. Liow considered the bet for some time then gave up his hand.
With a pot of around 17k in the center, John Tech bet 4500 into a board of 3♣ 3♠ Q♣ 2♠ and Kota Nakano check-called. On the river of 6♦, Nakano switched it up and led out 9500 sending Tech into tank zone. Tech eventually called and mucked as soon as he saw Nakano’s A♥ Q♠. Nakano now up to around 90k.
Another preflop action ongoing. Thomas Goh had 7♦ 7♥ and Arunas Sapitavicius had 6♠ 6♥. The board ran 4♠ 2♦ 3♠ A♠ Q♠ and with Sapitavicius holding a spade card, he won the hand with a flush and eliminated Goh from the field.
Heavy betting action preflop wtih Il Kwon Kim and Tetsuya Tsuchikawa both relentless on wanting the pot. Kim finally shoved with 34k and Tsuchikawa called. Kim had pocket queen while Tsuchikawa had pocket nines. The board bricked and Kim won the hand. Tsuchikawa down to below 10k.
Despite having Jessie Leonarez to his left, Thomas Lee found a way to shave off a chunk of Leonarez’s chips. With the flop already showing 4♠ 6♥ 9♠ and a pot of 20k in the center, Leonarez led out for 8k and Lee smooth-called. At the turn of 7♦ both players checked to each other giving the dealer to go ahead and reveal the river card. It was a J♦. Leonarez checked again, Lee decided it was time to get a bet in there and slid out 20k worth. After giving himself ample time to think, Leonarez called and then immediately mucked when he saw Lee’s 9♥ 9♣ set. Lee now has over 140k while Leonarez is down to around 50k.
Lots of action sometimes means lots of chips going in one direction. In this hand Luke Pangan kicked it off with a 2k raise, Ben Martin called, then Marv Dumon re-raised to 5k. Pangan folded and Martin called. At the flop of A♦ 7♦ 9♠, Dumon continued and slid out 4k. Replying from his section, Martin raised to 11k then Dumon shoved hoping to push out Martin. Not the case because Martin snap-called. Martin had A♠ 7♠ for two pairs while Dumon had Q♥ 2♥ bluff. The turn of 10♣ and river of K♠ were no help to Dumon and Martin doubled up to over 55k chips.
Gerald Casey is back and ready to take in more chips, so bring it on…. In a hand against Johnson Tan and a board of 9♣ Q♥ 5♦ already spread in the middle, Tan led out for 3k. Casey counted out some chips and raised to 8500. Tan decided to give up the fight and Casey won the hand. Casey kindly showed his K♣ K♠.
