Despite having Jessie Leonarez to his left, Thomas Lee found a way to shave off a chunk of Leonarez’s chips. With the flop already showing 4♠ 6♥ 9♠ and a pot of 20k in the center, Leonarez led out for 8k and Lee smooth-called. At the turn of 7♦ both players checked to each other giving the dealer to go ahead and reveal the river card. It was a J♦. Leonarez checked again, Lee decided it was time to get a bet in there and slid out 20k worth. After giving himself ample time to think, Leonarez called and then immediately mucked when he saw Lee’s 9♥ 9♣ set. Lee now has over 140k while Leonarez is down to around 50k.
