Lim Yo Hwan dominates Zhang

Level: 15 Blinds: 2500-5000 Ante: 5000

Lim Yo Hwan and Bobby Zhang tango’ed for a pot that saw Zhang raise to 11k preflop, Yo Hwan three-bet to 30k, and Zhang flat-calling. On the flop J 7 5, check check. On the 8 turn , Yohwan bet 52k and Zhang called. On the A river no bets. Zhang showed 6 6 but Yo Hwan had much better with K K. Yo Hwan up to 770k.


Marvin Rettenmaier tanks Tamon Nakamura

Level: 15 Blinds: 2500-5000 Ante: 5000

Prior to new players entering, nearly all the short stacks were seated at table 2. All with the exception of Marvin Rettenmaier who seemed to be having feast chomping on the shorties. He recently won a pot against Tamon Nakamura that brought his stack further up to around 400k.

On a board 2 5 A 5, Rettenmaier bet 25.5k, Nakamura called. On the 4 river, Rettenmaier bet 42.5k sending Nakamura tanking for a couple of minutes. He eventually folded.


Sun Tan wins pot off Hung Sheng Lin

Level: 14 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 4000

Hung Sheng Lin raised to 9k, button Sun Tan three-bet to 28k, back to Hung Sheng who called. At the flop 5 3 Q, both checked. On the Q turn, Hung Sheng check-called a 25k bet. On the K river, Tan fired again and before the count, Hung Sheng folded.

All the big stacks seem to be concentrated on one table. Around the elliptic are Kai Paulsen, Lim Yo Hwan, Marc Rivera, Josh Chargualaf, Bobby Zhang, Richard Marquez, and Lester Edoc. Suprisingly, Edoc has the shortest stack at the table.

May as well add in a hand… with 25k in the middle, three players stared down K 8 5. Yo Hwan checked, Zhang bet 12k, Edoc called, and back to Yo Hwan who joined in. On the 10 turn, no bets came. On the 10 river, Yo Hwan bet 27k and Edoc called. Yo Hwan opened K J and Edoc mucked.


Steffen Endres gets full pay with his boat

Level: 14 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 4

Steffen Endres raised 8k from utg then down the orbit on the button was Gavin Flynn who three-bet to 24k. At the flop K 10 7, Endres checked then called Flynn’s 21k bet. On the 2 turn, action was the same with Endres check-calling 46k. On the river K, Endres checked, Flynn shoved, and Endres called with less chips.

Give and take for Yoichi Uesugi and Kyle Lim

Chips went back and forth between Yoichi Uesugi and Jae Hyun Lim in a couple of hands. On one encounter, Uesugi doubled up with A-A through Lim. Later, Lim answered by taking back his lost chips.

The second hand saw a flop 3 7 9 and a raised pot already in the middle. Uesugi checked, Lim bet 24k, Hung Sheng Lin called, and Uesugi as well on the big blind. On the 10 turn, Uesugi led for 50k, Lim shoved, Hung Sheng folded, and Uesugi called with more chips.

Ji Young Kim gets some pay for her nut flush

Level: 13 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 3000

Ji Young Kim

Ji Young Kim raised to 7k and Elivannen made the call. At the flop 4 9 4, Kim bet 8500, Elivannen raised to 20k, Kim called. On the 5 turn, action switched with Kim checking to Elivannen who bet 25k. Kim called. On the 3 river, Kim bet 45k sending Elivannen tanking. The clock was called and at the final second, Elivannen called. Kim opened A 10 nut flush. She scooped up the pot and now has 300k.


Iori Yogo vs Jae Hyun Lim

Level: 13 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 3000

After a series of raises preflop, Iori Yogo and Jae Hyun Lim stared down a board K J 3. Both checked and the turn landed 5. Lim checked, Yogo fired 35k, Lim called. On the J river, Lim checked, Yogo shoved, and the hand ended with Lim folding up.


Kai Paulsen busts Gabriel Carter

Level: 13 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 3000

Both Kai Paulsen and Gabriel Carter were all in with big stacked Joshua Chargualaf saying he folded pocket sevens. Paulsen had 8 8, Carter with 6 6, the board fell 10 7 A 9 3. Paulsen’s pair held and Carter was eliminated. Had Charualaf called, he would have bounced out two players.
