Day 2 ends! Lim Yo Hwan maintains leader status

Day 2 is all wrapped up and the players have gone on to enjoy the rest of their Saturday night. Bagging up the largest stack was Lim Yo Hwan with an enormous 947,000. We will have recap for you shortly. Congratulations to the 29 survivors! They are now all in the money entering Day 3.

JC Sayo bubbles!

The bubble round is over! Short-stacked JC Sayo hung in there for as long as he could but with the blinds up, he put it all in and was called by two plaeyrs, Yoon Ho Kwak and Si Yang Phua. Both players checked the flop Q 3 5, the turn 5 saw a bet from Yoon. Phua folded.

Marvin Rettenmaier shows his full house

Level: 17 Blinds: 4000-8000 Ante: 8000

Marvin Rettenmaier raised to 17k from hijack, button Yoon Ho Kwak and big blind Walken Li called. At the flop 4 3 4, Li checked, Rettenmaier bet 26k, Yoon called, and Li folded. On the Q turn, another 33k by Rettenmaier but this time, Yoon gave up his stake on the pot. Rettenmaier showed his 4 3 full house.


New round sees Yoichi Uesugi double up

Level: 17 Blinds: 4000-8000 Ante: 8000

We’ve entered the next level. Usually players stop at the end of Level 16 in Day 2 but since we are at the bubble stage, play continues until it bursts.

Chip leader Lim Yo Hwan raised to 15k, Yoichi Uesugi shoved with just 89k total. Yo Hwan gave it a thought then called. Uesugi A J, Yo Hwan 8 5. The board ran A 10 Q to improve Uesugi to top pair. A scare card came on the turn 4, giving Yo Hwan a flush draw. No love came on the river instead 10. Uesugi doubled up.


Steffen Endres jams on Richard Marquez

Level: 16 Blinds: 3000-6000 Ante: 6000

Steffen Endres raised to 14k, small blind Bobby Zhang called, then big blind Richard Marquez popped it up to 44k. Endres moved all in for 238k, Zhang folded, and Marquez gave up his hand as well.

Masatoshi Tanaka doubles up through Kyung Min Lee

Another all in showdown here at the bubble stage. Masatoshi Tanaka with K K and Kyung Min Lee with 9 9. No bad beats arrived for a double up to Tanaka.


Marc Rivera wins some off Marquez

Level: 16 Blinds: 3000-6000 Ante: 6000

On a flop 3 8 5, Marc Rivera bet 26k and Richard Marquez made the call. On the Q turn, both checked. On the 9 river, Rivera led for 35k and once again got the call. His 5 5 set won him the pot.
