APT Philippines Championships 2018 Main Event

Fu Bang takes this one away

Level: 17 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 500

Fu Bang Huang picked up a very meaty pot against one of the chip leaders, Lee Chin Yong, and didn’t even have to show for it.

It began with Yong raising to 11k, and Huang calling. On the flop 9 8 7, Huang checked to the raiser who c-bet 11k. Action back to Huang, he check-raised to 31.5k, and Yong called. On the 6 turn, Huang checked, Yong bet 40k, and Huang called. Then on the river 3, Huang checked once more, Yong fired out 60k, and this time Huang tanked before calling. Yong called the clock on Huang and with ten seconds left, he tossed in the call.

Yong said “nice call” and mucked without showing. Huang mucked as well.

Alecz Chan doubles up

Level: 17 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 500

Two APT Main Event champions faced off, Alecz Chan and Soojo Kim. Chan was at risk however his A J was a good all in bet with the board running 2 10 9 A 9 flush. He doubled up to around 100k.

Action packed first hand!

Level: 17 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 500

The first deal of the day had all the tables busy with ample action. This resulted in the elimination of Wilson Tolon and John Jay Magadan.

First out was Magadan who was all in with 3 4. He couldn’t however get past Stephen Nathan’s A 7 nut flush with the board running K 4 10 J 3. He took 52nd place.

Falling in 51st was Wilson “Jay” Tolon. At his table, he limped in, Gyeong Byeong Lee raised to 22k, Abraham Ende moved all in, and Tolon followed behind. Lee got out of the way.

Tolon A K
Ende Q J

The board ran 6 K Q J 8 and Ende shipped it with two pair.
