Ernesto Ouano ousted in 9th place – PHP318,400

Level: 26 Blinds: 15000-30000 Ante: 5000

Ernesto Ouano will not be in the Final 8. He came close, just one spot shy. Kudos to him though for having a great run today. At mid-day, he won one of the biggest three-way showdowns that sent his stack zooming to the top where he sat for some time.

Ouano met his end at the hands of Patrick Liang. Ouano raised to 75k from the utg seat, Liang shoved on the big blind, and Ouano called, putting himself at risk.

Ouano A J

The board ran 2 2 Q 4 3. Ouano finished 9th and earned Php318,400. This is his deepest run at an APT Main Event.

Lester Edoc wins a few and touches seven digits

Level: 26 Blinds: 15000-30000 Ante: 5000

Lester Edoc is claiming his share of pots here, each one escalating in weight. On the first, he raised on the button and found no callers to win the blinds and antes. He then followed it up with a three-bet all in with his remaining 495k. Initial raiser Flo Campomanes folded, relinquishing his 80k bet.

On the third scoop, Edoc gained much more. He raised to 60k and went to see the flop with caller Hiroyuki Yoshimura. The cards landed 4 9 6. Edoc bet 75k, Yoshimura raised to 150k, Edoc three-bet to 225k, and Yoshimura called.

On the 5 turn, Edoc was immediately all in and won the hefty pile with Yoshimura folding. And just like that, Edoc now has a million.

Lim Yo Hwan exits in 10th place – PHP277,500

Level: 26 Blinds: 15000-30000 Ante: 5000

Lim Yo Hwan “Boxer” has just been sent to the rail in 10th place. He moved all in with J J and down the orbit, Hanna Khalife snap-called with A Q. Though Boxer was ahead, it was a coin flip. When the board ran Q K 2 10 Q, Boxer lost that battle with Khalife landing trips. Boxer earned Php277,500 for his deep run.

We are down to 9 players. One more elimination before we secure the Final 8.

Yun Bong on fire; doubles up and more

Level: 25 Blinds: 12000-24000 Ante: 4000

Action kicked off with Derick Hernandez raising to 55k, Yun Bong three-bet to 350k (leaving himself 1k behind), and Hernandez making the call. At the flop 9 6 7, Hernandez tossed in the 1k orange chip and so did Bong putting himself all in.

Bong Q Q
Hernandez A 10

The next two cards were no help to Hernandez and Bong doubled up to around 650k.

Bong drove that up close to 800k on the subsequent hand. After Flo Campomanes raised t0 65k and Ernesto Ouano calling, Bong shoved his 639k stack. No calls came and he scooped up the pot.

Good pot for Ernesto Ouano

Level: 25 Blinds: 12000-24000 Ante: 4000

In a three-way raised pot preflop, the dealer felted 4 10 5 flop. Ernesto Ouano checked, Hanna Khalife bet 110k, Lester Edoc folded, then Ouano raised all in. Khalife asked for a count and was informed he would need to put in an additional 291k to continue. Though he had the chips to do so, he folded and Ouano picked up a nice one.

Richard Torres falls in 11th place – PHP277,500

Level: 25 Blinds: 12000-24000 Ante: 4000

Richard Torres will not be joining the unofficial final elliptic. He was just eliminated by Patrick Liang in 11th place. His last hand saw him raise to 55k on the sb seat, bb Liang put him all in, and Torres decided to go ahead and risk his tournament life.

Torres 5 7
Liang A J

Though it was an odd last hand for Torres who seemed to be waiting for a strong hand to shove his short stack, he did have live cards. When the board ran 3 A 6, it was pretty much close to over with Liang pairing up. The turn K and river 5 sealed the win for Liang and Torres an 11th place finish.

He earned Php277,500 for his deep finish.

Flo Campomanes breaches 2M

Level: 25 Blinds: 12000-24000 Ante: 4000

Flo Campomanes has raised a few times but finding no players to go to the flop. This awarded him the blinds antes, and they certainly aren’t lose change. Campomanes finally entered a hand that saw a board but the action was initiated by button player Yun Bong.

Bong raised to 50k and Campomanes defended on the big blind. At the flop 2 5 7, Campomanes bet 41k and Bong called. On the 5 turn, both players checked it to see a river land 6. Campomanes jumped out with a 125k bet. This was good enough to win it with Bong folding.

Hello 2M!

Hanna Khalife opens with two, nears 1.5M

Level: 25 Blinds: 12000-24000 Ante: 4000

Hanna Khalife is the man in charge at his table. Not only does he have the largest stack but it also continues to grow. Opening the new round, he went head to head against Dylan Kii. Prior ot this hand, Kii was on the losing end of some big pots against Khalife and this time was no different.

On a flop 8 J 4, Khalife bet 48k into an already plump pot. Kii answered with a raise to 144k. Khalife called. On the turn 7, Khalife sent the action to Kii who fired out 190k. This time it was Khalife who answered with a big one, announcing all in. Kii quickly folded.

The subsequent hand saw Khalife raise to 60k and Kii called. At the flop 2 8 8, both checked. On the turn 4, Khalife bet 105k and took it with Kii folding up. Khalife now close to 1.5M. Kii fell to 800k which is still above average.
