Action has slowed down a bit with 11 players left in the Main Event. They are short-handed here with two tables. At Table 3, Vikram Kumar, the Spartan Poker satellite winner, raised to 23k and was called by both Linh Tran and Aso Seitaro. On the flop of 4♦ 9♣ 5♣, everyone checked and the turn came 6♥. Tran led for 30k, Seitaro pumped it up to 80k and with that raise, Seitaro won with Kumar and Tran opting to fold.
Another big pot of the day but this time none of the chip leaders were involved. Action kicked off with Ben martin raising to 23k and was called by two players, Kim Enriquez and Shinchiro Tone. The flop ran K♦ 5♣ 2♠, Enriquez checked, Martin continued with a foll0w up bet of 32k, Tone called, and Enriquez folded. On the turn of 6♦, Martin led again, sliding out 78k worth of chips, and Tone flat-called. On the river of 10♠, Martin made a hefty 127k bet but Tone challenged him and moved all in well covering Martin’s stack. Martin opted to fold and Tone claimed a massive pile without a showdown. He now has over 1.3M chips
The Japanese ninja man Takayuki Iwamoto entered the day with a decent stack but after losing a couple of small pots, he jammed all in with 188k chips. Linh Tran called and it was a showdown Iwamoto had A♦ 8♦ and Tran had 9♥ 9♠. The board ran blanks 4♣ 10♣ 2♥ 4♥ J♦ keeping Tran ahead with his pocket pair and Iwamoto was out in 12th place. He earned US$5,4000 for his finish.
