HomeJay Tolon faced an all in 9000 raise from Daniel Laidlaw and without hesitation, he repopped it to make it 20000 to go. As action landed on the big blind player Renan Morales, he tanked for a couple of minutes and decided it was best to fold for a heads up match between Tolon and Laidlaw to ensue. Tolon showed Q♥ Q♠ versus Laidlaw’s A♣ J♠. The board ran 10♣ 8♦ 5♥ 3♦ J♦ and with that, Tolon sent Laidlaw to the rail.
Richard Tayag takes two pots back to back. In the first hand, he faced a raise of 1800 from Bulat Mubarakzyanov and after tanking, he reraised it to 4000 inducing a fold in Mubarakzyanov.
In the next hand, Tayag raised to 1600 and got a caller in Youichi Fujiya. At the flop of 3♥ 4♠ 10♥, both players checked their option. At the turn of 5♣, Tayag slid out 2600 and Fujiya called. Then on the river of 8♥, he continued betting and laid out 4400 and Fujiya folded.
Both Czardy Rivera and a Japanese opponent already had all their chips in the middle when we got to the table and a board of 4♣ Q♦ 7♦ 9♦.

No diamond or ten on the river Q♣ and Rivera busts out one and climbs to over 58,000.
A very, very big pot was already brewing on a board of 10♦ 2♠ Q♠ A♣ when Paul Hockin of New Zealand bet 3,000 which was called by Richard Tayag of the Philippines.
When the river 7♣ arrived the Kiwi bet another 11,000 only to see the Filipino go over the top for his final 23,000 or so.
Hockin took his sweet time before making a decision. Conversing with Tayag all the while:
“You have king-jack spade? King-nine spade?”, speculated the APT Asian Series Cebu Main Event champion.
After a good 5 minutes, Hockin folded hand threw his hand to the middle– exposing an ace.
“Show?” Hocking begged.
Tayag showed one: K♠
“NO! Not just one! Not the king of spades!”
Tayag climbed to over 60,000 after the hand while Hocking dropped to around 30,000.
About an hour later after Bulat Mubarakzyanov lost a huge pot to Greg Lane, the former finally exited the tournament area after falling to Feng Zhao of Singapore.
Zhao’s A♣ 10♦ paired on a board of 6♦ 2♦ 10♣ 5♦ 4♥ and we never saw the Russian’s hand. Zhao has nearly 20,000 in chips after the hand.
We’re down to 100 players at this point of the tournament. We’re now at Level 10 with 400-800 blinds and 100 ante.
