Level: 12 Blinds: 600-1200 Ante: 200

Lim Min Soon shipped in a well-deserved pot to bring his stack to 165k. It started off with Zhang Yin min-raising to 2400, called by Lim on the button, then a three-bet by big blind Hang to 8200. Action back to Yin, he folded, while Lim called.

On the flop 6 5 3, Hang fired out 9500, Lim raised to 28.5k, and Hang called after tanking for quite some time. When the river came down K, Lim announced all in but Hang was first to act. Hang opted to check to bind Lim to his all in. Hang folded to send the pot to Lim.

All the outs couldn’t save Ben Lai; Wong Yong Pan soars to over 200k

Level: 12 Blinds: 600-1200 Ante: 200

Stacks are getting plumper with players steadily falling. We had just written about Ben Lai and his preflop takedown but when we went back to check on his table, he was already gone. Dong Guo filled us with the details.

China’s Wong Yong Pan raised from the utg seat and Ben Lai called on the small blind. At the flop 3-6-7 Lai check-called Pan’s bet. On the 6 turn with now a second heart on the board, Lai checked, Pan bet 11k, Lai shoved. Pan called. Lai had A 7 for a pair, nut flush draw, and a gutshot draw but Pan was ahead with A-6 trips. The river was a dud and Lai was left the scene.

Pan now sits with well over 200k.

Ben Lai wins the war

Level: 11 Blinds: 500-1000 Ante: 100

Preflop victory for Ben Lai. Action saw Dong Guo raise to 2200, Ben Lai called, small blind called, big blind three-bet to 7200, Guo called, then back to Lai who four-bet to 25k. Everyone folded.

Lei Liu up to 230k

Level: 11 Blinds: 500-1000 Ante: 100

We aren’t sure how China’s Lei Liu amassed 230K but we did see him win a small pot to add more to it. Mid position player raised to 2100, two players called, the Liu answered with a three-bet to 9900. No takers awarded him the pot.

Big fold for Terry Tang Tian Yuan against En Ching Wu

Level: 11 Blinds: 500-1000 Ante: 100

Big hand went down at table 10 with En Ching Wu versus Terry Tang Tian Yuan. The board showed 9 9 8 Q J with a meaty pot already brewed in the middle. Wu was all in stumping Tang. Before acting, Tang showed Wu his 8 8 full house which technically wasn’t allowed. He eventually folded getting shocked reactions from the other players. Wu did not show his hand.

Two hands send Can Lin Chen out the door

Level: 11 Blinds: 500-1000 Ante: 100

Can Lin Chen had the chip lead at his table but surprisingly, in two hands, he lost it all. On the first hand, he was up against Suh Seong Hyun. It started with Ikuo Moriyasu raising to 2300, called by Chen, then down several seats, Hyun three-bet to 12k. Ikuo opted to fold but Chen muscled with his large stack and announced all in. This sent Hyun in silence for a short 15 seconds then tossed in the call for his tournament life.

Hyun 8 8
Chen K Q

The board ran 5 7 J 3 A and Hyun celebrated a double up.

With still around 70k left (average stack), just before the break Chen was all in with Q-Q and was booted out by a player with K-K.

No second title for Hisashi Ogi

Level: 10 Blinds: 400-800 Ante: 100

One of the decorated APT champions has just fallen from the running. Short-stacked Hisashi Ogi was all in with 8 8 and was up against Zhang Xin’s J J. The board bricked, Ogi paid the double up which in turn send his stack tumbling down to 6200. Shortly after, he was eliminated.

Wong Hoi Ming Jacky sends Mitsuru Sano packing

Level: 10 Blinds: 400-800 Ante: 100

Early fall for Mitsuru Sano today and sending him to the rail was Wong Hoi Ming Jacky. Action began with Jacky raising to 1800, Sano three-bet to 5000, and Jacky called. On the flop A 3 7, Jacky checked to the raiser Sano who moved all in with his short 13,200 stack. Jacky snap-called. Sano showed his Q Q but it was already behind Jacky’s A 8. The turn K and river 10 didn’t improve Sano.

Full house over full house: Henrik Tollefsen boots Huang Jiang Ho

Level: 10 Blinds: 400-800 Ante: 100

Henrik Tollefsen sent a player out in a hand the we only caught at the shipping. In front of of the two-time champ was A 8 and his opponent Huang Jiang Ho had 7 7 with the board showing A 7 8 A Q. Full house over full house, pretty crazy. Tollefsen is now up to 70k.
