Action has slowed again with hands barely reaching a turn board. In this hand, they did go all the way to the river. It started with Tetsuya Tsuchikawa raising to 17k preflop and getting called by both Dong Hyun Kim and Julius Malzanini. At the flop of 10 9 J, everyone checked. At the turn of Q, action checked to Tsuchikawa who bet 19k. Kim called while Malzanini folded. On the river of Q J, both checked and Kim won the hand with his Q J two pairs.

Earlier, Thong Botho landed a big double up against Julius Malzanini, who happened to be one of the chip leaders at the time. In this hand, he attacked the stack of the other chip leader, Seung Soo Jeon, and has taken over the chip leader’s status.

During the hand, Botho raised to 13k and was called by both Terry Gonzaga and Jeon. At the flop of 10 Q 6, Gonzaga and Jeon checked to Botho who bet 21k. Gonzaga folded and Jeon called. At the turn of K, Jeon checked again, Botho bet 57k, and Jeon called. On the river of 10, Jeon checked once more, Botho bet 77k, and Jeon replied with a raise to 146k. Botho moved all in for an additional 42k for Jeon to call. This sent Jeon tanking until he eventually folded while showing a king.
