With a raised pot before him and a board of 3♥ J♠ Q♥ already spread, bb player Yoichi Fujiya bet 1600. Button player raised double to 3200 and Fujiya called. At the turn of 7♠, Fujiay bet 4600 and with that, he won the pot.
Mike Artis ousts another player, this time it was SJ Kim. During the hand, a preflop war led to three players in the pot, Artis, Kim, and the button. At the flop of 8♠ 2♥ A♣, everyone checked. At the turn of 10♠, Artis checked to Kim who bet 2200, the button folded, then Artis did his deadly move, the check-raise, making it 8k total. Kim muscled back and moved all in with his 15k. Artis called and it was a showdown. Artis had 10♣ 8♣ two pairs and Kim had A♦ K♠ top pair. The river of 5♣ was no help to Kim and he busted out. Artis now over 70k.
When Mike Artis wins pots, they are usually big one. In this hand, action checked all the way to the sb seat, Artis, who limped in. The bb player raised to 450, and as seen previously, Artis check-raised to 850, the bb four-bet to 2100. Artis called. At the flop of 9♠ J♥ 4♥, Artis checked, the bb bet 2500, Artis called. At the turn of 2♣, Artis changed gears and led for 3100, the bb called. Then on the river of 8♠, Artis stuck to his guns and bet 7075. The bb player went all in and Artis called. Artis won with his A♣ J♣ while booting one in the process.
On a raised pot preflop, JC Sayo and Yohn Paredes saw the flop land 9♥ 10♣ 6♦. Sayo bet 650 and Paredes called. The dealer spread the next card, 2♠, and Sayo continued, betting out 1650. Paredes called. On the river of 9♣, Sayo was on a roll and sent out 2250. Paredes called. Sayo won with his A♦ A♥.
With a pot of 3.5k already swimming in the middle, and a board of 8♣ 5♣ 8♥ 6♦, Sato Sainichiro bet 2k and lone opponent Yao Hui called. On the river of 4♣, both players checked and Sainichiro won with his A♣ A♠. Hui mucked.
JC Sayo, Tetsuya Tsuchikawa, and the button player looked down on a board of 7♦ K♠ 10♠. Sayo checked to Tsuchikawa who bet 800, the button player called, but when action returned back to Sayo, he raised to 2800. His bet was big enough to take down the pot with both of his opponents folding. Sayo showed his K♦ 10♦ top pair.
After a bad beat led to his demise, re-entry player Michael Falcon headed back to the table and immediately went to work winning chips. In a hand against William Kang, and a board showing 4♦ 9♠ 10♥ 6♣, Kang bet 850 into a 1500 pot, Falcon raised to 2k, and Kang called. On the river of J♠, Kang checked, Falcon bet 2500, and Kang opted to fold while flashing a king.
Michael Falcon headed for the rail after getting the boot from Gerald Casey. The all in action was at the turn of 7♣ 6♠ 8♣ 10♦ with Falcon holding A-9 and Casey with Q-9, both with the straight. The river was was a blow to Falcon as it landed J♦ giving Casey a higher straight.
Falcon has since re-entered.
Tetsuya Tsuchikawa joining the fun for some early action here at level 1. He raised to 150 and was called by two players, one of whom was Mike Artis. At the flop of 9♥ 7♣ K♠, Tsuchikawa checked, Artis checked, and the other caller (cutoff seat) bet 300. This was called by both Tsuchikawa and Artis. At the turn of 9♠, action was the same with Tsuchikawa and Artis checking to the cutoff who bet 1000. Tsuchikawa called but Artis raised it up to 2500. The cutoff opted to fold while Tsuchikawa re-raised to 5500. Artis called. With a massive pot brewing in the middle, the dealer felted a 10♦. Tsuchikawa bet 8k and Artis called. Tsuchikawa showed 6♦ 6♣ that was behind Artis’s straight with J♠ 8♠.
