Tetsuya Tsuchikawa claimed a pot that had a nice pile brewing preflop. Vlad Geshkenbein raised to 3500, Aso Seitaro and Jim Bonanno called. Next up was Tsuchikawa who shoved his 35.2k chips and the three players folded.
Sam Razavi landed himself a sweet double up in a hand against Aso Seitar that began with Seitaro raising to 4k preflop. Tetsuya Tsuchikawa and Razavi called. At the flop of A♠ 5♠ 2♠, Tsuchikawa and Razavi checked to Seitaro who bet 11k. Tsuchikawa folded but Razavi shoved. Seitaro called. Razavi had A♦ 2♦ for two pairs ahead of Seitaro’s A♥ Q♠. The turn of 7♣ and river of 4♥ kept Razavi ahead and he doubled up.
Jun Saito was all in with his ailing 13.2K stack and was called by Byeongcheol Kim. Saito had 9♣ 9♦ and Kim had A♠ Q♦. The board bricked and Saito doubled up.
George Salud lost another pot, this time to Lim Yo Hwan. It began with Salud raising to 3500 and getting two callers, Simba and Hwan. At the flop of 4♣ Q♦ 4♦, Salud bet 10k, Simba folded, but Hwan tanked. After some time he moved all in for 27.3k. Salud called. Hwan had J♥ Q♥ for top pair and Salud had 10♠ 10♥. The turn of K♥ and river of 6♣ kept Hwan on top and he doubled up while Salud fell to below 13K.
After his stack took a beating with his pocket queens losing to pocket aces, Tetsuya Tsuchikawa was eventually all in with 8k left. He was called by Aaron Mermelstein for a showdown. Tsuchikawa had A♠ 10♦ and Mermelstein had A♣ 6♠. The board ran K♥ 4♦ 3♦ J♣ 2♠, low enough for Tsuchikawa’s kicker to be in play. He doubled up.
On a raised pot preflop, the board ran K♦ Q♥ Q♣. George Salud checked to Julius Malzanini who bet 2600. Salud check-raised to 6200, and Malzanini called. On the turn of 6♠, both players checked. Then on the river of 2♦, Salud bet 7200 and Malzanini called. Salud had A♣ J♣ that was no good against Malzanini’s pocket pair 3♣ 3♠.
Tetsuya Tsuchikawa took a big shaving off his stack in a hand against Kwangsuk Yuh. Kicking off the hand was Yuh with a raise to 2500, called by SJ Kim, three-bet to 8600 by Tsuchikawa, four-bet to 19.6k by Yuh which got Kim to fold and Tsuchikawa a flat-call. At the flop of 10♠ 4♥ 9♠, Tsuchikawa checked, Yuh announced all in for 43.4k, and Tsuchikawa tank-called. Yuh had pocket aces and Tsuchikawa had pocket queens. The turn and river were no help to Tsuchikawa and Yuh won a huge double up.
Nick Blackburn is active on the felt. Having just won a pot after raising preflop and not getting called, he raised again and this time Gerard Bringley on the big blind called the 2700. At the flop of 2♦ 9♦ 4♣, Bringley checked to Blackburn who bet 5k. Bringley called. On the turn of J♣, Bringley checked again and Blackburn quickly announced all in. Bringley folded.
Hii Hieng Dee got exactly what he wanted when he was all in with his short stack. He was called by Gerald Casey and it was Dee’s king-jack offsuit against Casey’s ace-king. The board ran two pairs for Dee and he doubled up.
