Malzanini climbs to 100k with aces

Julius Malzanini faced off with Simba that began with a raise to 5k by Simba. Malzanini three-bet to 14k, and Simba folded. Malzanini showed his pocket aces.


Glab goes down and up and down again

Level: 14 Blinds: 1000-2000 Ante: 300

In a matter of a few hands, Voytek Glab had a flurry of hands that sent him out of the field. In a hand against Hii Hieng Dee, the flop was already on display 9 Q 3. Glab bet 6k, Dee was all in for 18k, and Glab called.

The turn of 10 and river of 7 was good for Dee and he doubled up while Glab fell to around 4k.

Shortly after, Glab was all in up against Iori Yogo and Harold Sonnenberg. With both is challengers checking to the river, the board was 7 J 7 J 9. Sonnenberg won a small side pot against Yogo, but Glab tripled up. Next hand had Glad all in again and this time, he was eliminated by Gerald Casey with two pairs.


Edoc eliminates Paredes

Level: 13 Blinds: 800-1600 Ante: 200

Yohn Paredes played his last hand of the main event after getting the boot by Lester Edoc. On a board of 2 10 8, Paredes checked to Edoc who bet 3500. Paredes check-raised all his chips, over 19k, and Edoc called. Paredes had Q 10 for to pair and Edoc had K Q for a flush draw. The turn gave Edoc what he was looking for 3 and with a 4 on the river Edoc had his flush and Paredes was eliminated.


Botho doubles up Casey

Level: 13 Blinds: 800-1600 Ante: 200

Gerald Casey hasn’t been picking up very many big pots but he landed a happy double up in a hand against Thong Botho. During the hand, Casey limped and Botho checked his big blind. At the flop of 8 9 4, Botho checked to Casey who bet 8k. Action back to Botho saw him go all in and Casey quickly called. Botho had J 10 for a straight draw while Casey had 10 9 top pair. The turn of 5 and river of 10 improved Casey to two pairs and he scooped a double up to over 65k.


Simba’s set no good against Dong Hyun Kim’s straight

Level: 13 Blinds: 800-1600 Ante: 200

Simba, Dong Hyun Kim, and SJ Kim were in a pot that saw a preflop raised pot swimming in the middle. The flop ran 6 10 9 and Simba checked. DH Kim bet 4600, SJ Kim and Simba called. At the turn of Q and river of J, they all sat back and checked. Simba had 9 9 for a set but it was not enough to take the pot with DH Kim holding K 10 straight. SJ Kim mucked.


Mermelstein vs Saito

Level: 13 Blinds: 800-1600 Ante: 200

Aaron Mermelstein has been swinging up and down all day. In a hand the had a raise preflop, the board ran Q Q 10. Mermelstein checked to Jun Saito who bet 3500. Mermelstein called. The turn of 6 had both players checking. On the river of 9, Mermelstein shoved with 15k and claimed the pot with Saito folding.


Edoc rails Esdaile-Razavi

Menchu Esdaile Razavi went all in with around 15k and Lester Edoc who initially raised to 4k called. At the showdown, Edoc had pocket queens against her ace-queen. The board landed a queen on the river and Edoc eliminated her with his set.


Flush over Flush, Kwok wins

Level: 13 Blinds: 800-1600 Ante: 200

With a small raise preflop, Kwan Kit Kwok and Vlad Geshkenbein saw the flop land Q Q 10. Geshkenbein checked to Kwok who bet 4k. With action back to Geshkenbein, he check-raised to 12.1k. Kwok called. On the turn of 6, action got heavier with Geshkenbein betting 22.3k. Kwok called. Then on the river of Q, both players slowed down to a check and at the showing, both had a flush, Geshkenbein with 2 3 but Kwok with much higher, K 8.


Paredes vs Sombero

Level: 13 Blinds: 800-1600 Ante: 200

Yohn Paredes checked his big blind with two limpers in the pot, John Sayo and Wally Sombero. At the flop of 3 10 3, Paredes checked to Sombero who bet 4k. Sayo folded while Paredes moved all in for 11.3k total. After seeing how much he needed to call, Sombero did and their hole cards were revealed. Paredes had Q 10 for top pair and Sombero had A 8. The turn of 2 and river of K sealed the double up for Paredes.
