In a battle of the blinds, Dong Hyun Kim raised to 7500 and Julius Malzanini called on the big blind. At the flop of 3♣ A♥ 10♠, Kim bet 8500 and Malzanini matched it up. On the turn of A♣, Kim dropped in a 11.5k bet and still, Malzanini was there calling. On the river of 8♠, Kim slowed to a check but Malzanini had other plans and bet 22.5k. Kim folded and Malzanini was awarded a nice pot.
From the blinds position, Lester Edoc and Thong Botho both called John Sayo’s preflop raise of 6500. The flop was then dealt J♥ 9♠ J♦ and both Edoc and Botho checked to Sayo who bet 7k. Edoc called and Botho folded. At the turn of 5♦, no bets were made, and the dealer opened up the river card of 6♠. Edoc led out for a 5k bet, and Sayo called. Edoc showed his K♦ K♠ and Sayo mucked.
Early position player Terry Gonzaga raised to 7k and was called by both Jim Bonanno and Lester Edoc (bb). At the flop of 6♣ 5♥ Q♠, both Gonzaga and Edoc checked to Bonanno who bet 11k. That was enough for the win.
Tetsuya Tsuchikawa earned another sizable pot, this time against Harold Sonnenberg. Both players checked. At the turn of Q♠, Sonnenberg checked to Tsuchikawa who bet 16k, and Sonnenberg flat-called. On the river of 3♥, Sonnenberg switched up and led out for 29k, and Tsuchikawa stuck with him and called. Sonnenberg mucked and Tsuchikawa won the hand without a showdown.
Renato Labadan went all in with his 13.5k chips left and big stacked Kwan Kit Kwok called from the big blind without looking at his cards. Labadan had J♠ 9♠ and Kwok had 7♠ 6♣. The board ran 8♦ 4♦ 9♦ K♣ A♠ and he doubled up.
Tetsuya Tsuchikawa saw a nice increase in his chips. He engaged in a pot with Byeongcheol Kim that began with a raise to 6k by Kim and Tsuchikawa calling on the big blind. At the flop of J♦ 8♣ 6♦, Tsuchikawa checked to Kim who bet 6k. Tsuchikawa called. On the turn of Q♦, Tsuchikawa checked again, Kim continued and bet 15.5k, then Tsuchikawa announced all in making it an additional 54k for Kim to call. Kim folded and Tsuchikawa won the hand.
