Tech’s straight boots one out

John Tech and two other players stared down a board of 7 5 6. The sb player checked to Tech who checked as well giving the button player to go ahead to bet. He did and laid out 1200. Next to act was the sb player who went over the top and moved all in for 4325. Action continued with Tech raising to 8400. The button folded and it was a showdown. Tech was ahead with 3[4c} straight against 5 7 two pairs of the sb. The turn of Q and river of 3 kept Tech’s straight on top and he scooped the pot while eliminating one in the process.


Loon tanks John Kim

Level: 4 Blinds: 100-200 Ante:

On a board of A 3 J, John Kim bet 875, was raised to 2625 by Lim Yah Loon, then Kim re-raised to 7675. Loon was not going anywhere and he moved all in for a total of 17800. This sent Kim tanking until he finally gave up his challenge for the pot.


Kang doubles up

Level: 4 Blinds: 100-200 Ante:

With an ailing stack, William Kang was all in again wth his 3625 chips. He was called by a player in the cutoff seat and it was a showdown. Kang had pocket nines and his opponent had pocket eights. The board kept Kang ahead to the end and he doubled up.


Silvano’s shoves

Level: 3 Blinds: 75-150 Ante:

On a board of A Q 6, Ed Silvano bet 600, Jacob Dy and Byeongcheol Kim called. The turn of 2 had Silvano announce all in for 8k total, and this time, no callers.

On another hand Silvano shoved on a board of 4 4 4 10 2, and Dy tanked. He eventually called this time and Silvano won with his Q 10 full house.


Erquiaga’s low cards do him well

Action began with a raise by the utg player to 375, Dave Erquiaga re-raised to 1300, then Simba four-bet to 2500. The utg folded and Erquiaga called. At the flop of 6 J 3, Erquiaga checked, Simba bet 2200, and Erquiaga called. At the turn, 4, both players checked to see a free river of Q. Erquiaga took charge and bet 4k, Simba called. Erquiaga showed 6 3 for two pairs. Simba mucked and Erquiaga won the pot.


SJ Kim avoids elimination

SJ Kim had a tough time winning pots and saw his stack fall to 7k. He went all in and was called by Sebastian Benz. Kim had A 5 and Benz had J J. The board ran 7 2 A 4 4 giving Kim a flush and a much needed double up.


De Leon waits and makes his move

On a board of K 6 3, Seung Soo Jeon and Michael De Leon checked to Ed Silvano who bet 375. Jeon raised to 1100 and De Leon called. The initial bettor, Silvano seeing there was a possible trap in play, got out of the way. On the turn of 5, Jeon checked to De Leon who bet 1600. Jeon cautiously called. On the river of 8, Jeon checked again, De Leon bet 4k, and with that, he won the pot without a showdown.


Simba picks up a couple of pots

Simba claimed himself some decent pots to add to his stack. In one hand, he raised to 400 and was called by two players, Lito Quijano and the small blind. The board ran 10 9 3, the sb checked, Simba bet 675, Quijano called and the sb folded. At the turn of 2, Simba continued and be 1150. Quijano played passive and called. On the river of 4, both checked and Simba won with his J 9 against Quijano’s 9 8.

Shortly after, Simba was in a hand that had a board of Q 5 J. He checked to the button player who bet 1600. Simba called. At the turn of 4, Simba checked again then called a 2500 bet. On the river, it was Simba who took charge and slid out 6500. He won the pot without a challenge.


Jeon and Byeongcheol battle for a pot

On a baord of 5 A J, Byeongcheol Kim checked to Seung Soo Jeon who bet 800. Check-raising back, Kim made it 2560. Responding with a push, Jeon moved all his 11,275 chips in the middle. Kim folded. Jeon showed one card, K.
