The two big stacks both packed by over 1M in chips went head-to-head and Victor Chong came out on top to send his stack well over 2M… that’s over half of the chips in play.
The hand began with a 50k raise by Chong on the cutoff and Alecz Chan calling from the small blind. The flop came 3♥ 10♦ A♠ and both checked. On the 10♣ turn, Chan checked, Chong bet 50k, and Chan called. On the Q♦ river, Chan checked again then called Chong’s 250k bet. Chong turned over J♥ 10♥ for trips and Chan mucked while paying up the river bet.
Chan said he held A-Q. He fell to 950k.
