Takayama pays again; Kosei Ichinose doubles up

Level: 12 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Mike Takayama seems to be the ATM at his table. Having doubled up Hideaki Ohashi on an earlier hand, he now paid up another, this time to Kosei Ichinose. We only saw the action on the river with a completed board 10 4 2 4 A. Takayama laid out a 40k bet and Ichinose was all in for an additional 29.5K to Takayama. He called. Ichinose showed A 10 and Takayama mucked.

Three-way showdown sends Le Ngoc Khanh to the rail

Level: 12 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Big hand just went down between Yun Bong, Yanda Thryonne Soh, and Le Ngoc Khanh. We were filled in the details. Soh opened the betting with a 4500 raise, called by Yun and another player then three-bet to 27k by Khanh. Soh and Yun called and the flop came 4 9 6. Yun moved all in and both Khanh and Soh called. The turn 8 quickly saw Khanh shove for a side pot and after counting out his chips, Soh called.

Yun 4 6
Khanh A J
Soh J J

The river was 4 sending Khanh to the rail, Yun tripled up, and Soh won the side pot. Soh at 200k and Yun at 255k.

Takayama pays a double up to Hideaki Ohashi

Level: 12 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Big stacked Mike Takyama lost some of his towers, though not all that much. He is still three times the average stack with 330k. He called Hideaki Ohashi’s shove. Ohashi 6 6 and Takayama A 9. The board ran 4 6 9 10 2.

Kim Taehyung dusts kings on the river

Level: 12 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Takayasu Takumi took a huge hit to his stack against Kim Taehyung then busted out shortly after. Crippling him down to one bb was a bad beat delivered by Kim with K-K up against 8-8. The board ran 9-4-6-7-8 for a spiked set on the river to Kim.

Flo Campomanes busts Algerio Tabacon

Level: 12 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Flo Campomanes and Algerio Tabacon went head to head with their very short stacks with Campomanes A Q and Tabacon K K. The board was kind to Campomanes running 5 A 6 Q 2. Tabacon busted and Campomanes shipped it. He sits with around 70k.

Mike Takayama climbs to 380k

Level: 11 Blinds: 1000-2000 Ante: 300

While we were catching the action below, we saw Mike Takayama win two pots back-to-back. We finally made it over to his table to see how much he had amassed and saw him in a hand. Hideaki Ohashi raised to 4500, Algerio Tabacon called, then Takayama three-bet to 16.5k. He was called by both and the flop ran Q 5 6. Action was checked to Takayama who c-bet 16k. That was enough to win the pot with both opponents folding. Takayama now at around 380k.

Yanda Thyronne Soh rails Gerard Bringley

Level: 11 Blinds: 1000-2000 Ante: 300

Tough beat for Gerard Bringley who just fell out of the running. The hand began with Bringley raising it up to 4500 and Ynada Thyronne Soh defending on the big blind. At the flop K 2 4, Soh check-called a 5k bet. On the 4 turn, no bets came for a free river 5. Soh checked, Bringley bet 15k, Soh shoved (well covering Bringley’s stack), and after much deliberation, Bringley risked his tournament life.

Soh 3 6 straight
Bringley A 3 lower straight
