Last day of the festival! Race to the MAIN EVENT title; Short Deck Poker; CoinPoker High Rollers Shot Clock on tap

Today is the last day of the APT Vietnam 2018! We have plenty of exciting events lined up for everyone to enjoy at Pro Poker Club so come on over and jump in the festival’s final games! Two more trophies are up for grabs. 

The day kicks off with a new one, the Short Deck Poker tournament. This new variation of Hold’em has been the fancy of the nosebleed high stakes players and now we bring it to the APT for the first time. Buy-in is VND 7,700,000. Read up on the Short Deck Poker rules here. Cards in the air at 1pm. 

At 2pm, it’s the CoinPoker High Rollers Single Day – Shot Clock – event. This is the last event of the festival. For the first time, we will be introducing the shot clock to Vietnam. Buy-in is VND 43,000,000. 

Shot Clock rules:

  • The Shot Clock will be introduced after the close of registration, at six tables remaining.
  • Once the Shot Clock has been introduced each remaining player will receive three (3) sixty (60) second Time Bank chips.
  • Once a player hesitates for 3 seconds, the Shot Clock will begin with an initial thirty (30) second countdown.
  • Once a player exhausts the initial thirty (30) second countdown, that player will immediately owe a Time Bank chip and will owe another one after sixty (60) seconds expires.
  • Remaining eight (8) players will receive two (2) additional Time Bank chips.
  • The Shot Clock will be paused if a player that has been put on the Shot Clock requests for a count of a bet that has multiple chips or multiple denominations or stacks.
  • A player’s hand will be killed immediately after the time on the Shot Clock has expired and the player is out of Time Bank chips.

MAIN EVENT – Race to the title

Today will also see the final 7 players of the MAIN EVENT race to the title. The prime tournament of the tour drew in 498 entries for a prize pool of VND 9,661,200,000.

Two events will also be wrapping up from an overnight break, the CoinPoker High Rollers with 38 players returning out of the 104 entries. The top 18 places will earn a piece of the VND 5,044,000,000 prizepool with the eventual winner awarded the lion’s share VND 1,264,650,000 first prize. 

Game resumes at Level 13 – blinds 1500 – 3000 ante 3000. Average stack is 109,473. Chips in play is 4,160,000. Top 5 leaders are:
