Taiwanese pro Hung Sheng Lin set a new record at the APT Macau Championships 2018 becoming the first player to win back-to-back APT Player of the Series titles in Macau! Last December, Hung Sheng cashed three times to top the festival numbers. This time, he achieved a whole lot more. He cashed in 4 events and won his first APT Main Event title for a total of 1,049,08 points accrued.

Hung Sheng was awarded the APT Player of the Series Ring, APT Player of the Series Trophy, an exclusive luxury watch, and USD 800. Here’s a look at his incredible achievements:

At the Main Event, Hung Sheng overcame a field of 377 entries for a score of HKD 587,000. Add another HKD 35,100 from his combined other cashes, he pocketed a total of HKD 622,100 at the series events.

Norway’s Kai Paulsen had a stellar performance as well. He had the most number of ITMs, running deep in 6 side events which included a victory at the No Limit Hold’em 2 event. He accrued 886.78 total points to earn the 2nd place APT Player of the Series trophy and USD 100. Here’s a look at his impressive achievements:

Impressively, alike Hung Sheng, Paulsen was back at the APT POS awarding stage having place 3rd in Macau last December.

Our 3rd place APT Player of the Series winner was the other APT featured champion, Hong Kong’s Sparrow Park Yu Cheung. Sparrow accrued 610.40 points for his three ITMs, one of which was a victory at the Championships Event. Cheung was awarded the series trophy and USD 100 to add to his festival cash winnings.
