Final 51 known as Day 1C ends past 4am, Deug Deug Kai tops flight;

TAICHUNG CITY, Taiwan – In a marathon that last almost ten hours, Day 1C of the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Taichung Championship finally concluded with 15 players advancing to the finale as the last 51 remaining now all get a slice of the now over NT$1.6M (US$52,092.00) guaranteed prize pool at the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP Club) here. 

Unheralded Deug Deug Kai led the Day 1C parade with 682,000 in chips, good for second overall while being followed by Liu Guan Jie with 318,000. Hsu Jing finished the session in third with 315,000.

With everyone now assured of pocketing at least NT$87,000.00 (US$274.00) from the original buy-in of only NT$5,000.00 (US$157.00), the final day of the competition will battle until someone hoists the trophy and claim the NT$318,500.00 (US$10,014.00).

Belgium’s Kristof Segers sits atop the leaderboard heading in with 706,000 while Day 1A chip-leader Chiang Wei Chen occupies third with holdings of 448,000.
