Everything you need to know on the MAIN EVENT – P10 Million Guaranteed

The APT Philippines 2019 – MAIN EVENT – takes command of the poker floor at Resorts World Manila starting Friday, April 26 until Tuesday, April 30. This is the first featured event of the series and  the most highly revered tournament of the Asian Poker Tour. It boasts of the best structure in the region. It comes with a guaranteed P10 Million (~USD 192,000) prize pool. Buy-in is PHP 55,000. Here’s a look at the schedule:

Day 1A: Friday, April 26
Day 1B: Saturday, April 27
Day 2: Sunday, April 28
Day 3: Monday, April 29
Final 8: Tuesday, April 30

Each starting day plays a total of 8 levels. Each level runs for 60 minutes. Registration closes at the start of Level 10 in Day 2. Attempting for multiple stacks is allowed however only the best stack advances. Cards in the air daily at 1pm.  (Structure)

Main Event Bubble Protection

Main Event Bubble Protection will be in effect. For those new to this fantastic APT incentive, players that have qualified for the protection will be protected during the bubble round. What that means is, if a protected player falls as the bubble, that player will receive one Main Event buy-in back in the form of APT tournament credits. To qualify, all you need to do is follow these steps:

  1. Pre-register
  2. Draw for your seat before starting time
  3. Have your chips put into play on the first deal of Level 1

*Players that qualify for bubble protection will maintain the status on the same day re-entry. For players wanting bubble protection on a next day re-entry will have to repeat the steps in order to be eligible.

2019 Main Event winners

This year we designed new trophies for all of our winners. Standing apart is the APT Mythical Golden Winged Lion awarded only to Main Event champions. Three of these unique trophies have already been captured. Below are the year’s victors:
