Day 6 results

APT #30: Super High Roller –  “dilbaghsingh” – IN₹ 21,26,000 (~US$ 28,355)

The Super HIgh Roller 6-Max tournament created the biggest prize pool of the series to date with 171 entries (110 uniques, 61 re-entries) forking out the IN₹ 55,000 buy in. This breached the 80L guarantee and in its place a richer IN₹ 85,50,000 prize pool. In just under ten hours of play, 21 punters earned a share and PokerBaazi regular “dilbaghsingh” took it down for IN₹ 21,26,000.This was the largest first prize payout yet and dilbaghsingh’s fourth ever APT win. For the achievement, the champion was also awarded an APT Trophy.

The final table was formed at the fall of Vishal “Vishzz” Bajaj to “dreamrekha” who carried in the lead. First to go was Gaurav “gaug17” Sood when his A A were cracked by dreamrekha’s 3 9 runner runner full house. More pocket aces showed up resulting in Srihari “bangbang999” Bang doubling up through the leader and Gokul “Nygma” Raj cracking it to take from dilbaghsingh.

The next batch of all in encounters saw stacks swinging and the crash of dreamrekha in 5th place to dilbaghsingh. The eventual champion’s also cleaned out Raj to amass a sizable advantage over the remaining two players. It took nearly 40 minutes before the Neel “Worm33” Joshi overtook Bang then sent him packing up in 3rd place.

Heads up kicked off with dilbaghsingh out front backed by a 4:1 lead. Joshi quickly doubled up to bring the stacks to par. The defining hand arrived when dilbaghsingh’s 7 6 both paired up to crush Joshi’s A Q top pair ace. Down to just 1 bb, Joshi doubled up numerous times but still wasn’t enough to put dilbaghsingh in any danger. Joshi was eliminated with 4 4 two pair dusted by 9 6 trips on a board J Q A 9 9

Among the players that contributed the most to the pot were Ritwik “Ritwikkhanna” Khanna and Ashish “OMG_spew” Munot both firing four bullets but still walking away empty.
