Day 1C Level 2 already eclipses Day 1B total entries, 3rd Single-Day High-Rollers in full swing

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam – The number of entries for Day 1C hit the 100-mark just as Level 1 ended and now has 150 at just past the halfway point of Level 2 as the action intensifies in the VND6B (US$258,000.00) guaranteed Main Event of the APT Vietnam Ho Chi Minh 2022 here at the Saigon Poker Club.

With Day 1B ending with a total 149, tournament personnel expect this final Day 1 to surpass even the Day 1A Early Bird Special of 248 and all those advancing from today already assigned their own Flight for Day 2. It will be recalled that due to influx of participants, the APT decided to split Day 2 into two Flights with the qualifiers from Day 1A and Day 1B taking part in Flight A that commences tomorrow at 1:00PM (UCT+7) while those emerging from today will begin their Day 2 action later on at 6:30PM.

Registration will remain open until the end of Level 9 and the buy-in is VND22M (US$946.00).
The Day 2 Flights will also be accepting buy-ins until the end of the first two levels of the resumption.
198 runners have already advanced to Day 2 with Vietnam’s Ngo Van Dat atop the leaderboard with 208,200 in chips followed Tom Tran of the United States with 199,900. Meanwhile, the third Single-Day High-Rollers (Event #10) is well underway with so far 55 entries in the early stages. This will be the only side event played out until Day 3 of the Main Event as Sunday (14th August) will have only the Day 2 Flights.

The victor of Event #10 will be joining Korea’s Lee Seongmin and Ho Chi Cheung of Hong Kong in the High Rollers’ winner circle. Latvian Aigars Plivcs of Vietnam took down the Super High-Rollers Event. Registration is also still open until the end Level 10 and the buy-in is VND32.5M (US$1,397.00).
