This was mainly due to the APT Players Party happening in the evening with the country’s famous DJs coming to supply all the music. The turbo events wrapped up with Nguyen Tuan Hung and Chang Xiang Guang lifting their first ever APT trophies.
NGUYEN TUAN HUNG wins the Super Deep Stack Turbo
The second installment of the Super Deep Stack Turbo drew a larger turnout of 65 entries for a prize pool of VN₫ 378,300,000. Luong Van Quang delivered the bubble with K♦ K♣ dominating a player’s 9♣ 9♠. Within minutes, three short stacks fell, Peter Kiem (11th), Deepak Bothra (10th), and Go Mori (9th) to form the Final 8.
As the blinds escalated, half the field quickly dropped with High Roller champion Tran Nam Trung departing in 6th place. Down to five players, average was below 9 BB. This resulted in a shove fest starting with Vu Van Lich eliminated by Quach Chi Cong to take the lead. Action continued its fast pace leading to Cong paying two back to back double ups to Nguyen Tuan Hung. Cong was eliminated and Nguyen was the new leader.
Facing two very short stacks, Nguyen finished off last night’s Deep Stack Hyper Turbo winner Amit Kaushik in 3rd place with J♣ 10♠ straight over A♥ 4♦ on a board 9♥ K♥ 5♦ Q♥ 5♠. Nguyen entered heads up against Jaewook Han with a 10:1 advantage. It was no contest. Han was immediately eliminated to award Nguyen the trophy and the VN₫ 109,200,000 first prize.

CHANG XIANG GUANG climbs up the POS rung after the Deep Stack Hyper Turbo
Malaysian player Chang Xiang Guang has been in hot pursuit of the APT Player of the Series title. At the start of the day he was running seventh rank with five cashes. Several hours later, Guang picked up his sixth cash, the most cashes out of all the series players, after taking down the Deep Stack Hyper Turbo event. He outlasted the 53 entry field to snatch up the VN₫ 62,480,000 (~US$ 2,665) first prize and his first ever APT trophy. He zoomed up several notches to 2nd rank in the POS race.
