Dafabet Head Hunter at 3pm; Koichi Haruta wins the High Rollers #1

Welcome to the second day of APT Korea Incheon 2019! We are at Paradise City Casino, the largest and most luxurious casino in the country. This is our third visit to Incheon and we bring with us all the best APT games for you to enjoy. The festival runs from August 2 to 13. A total of 24 games fill the roster along with a guaranteed KRW 400,000,000.

Today will see the Dafabet Head Hunter get on the floor. Buy-in is KRW 550,000. This is one of our most popular side events especially with the KRW 100,000 reward for every head scalped. 

Also running today is the final day of the Monster Stack 1 with 18 players returning for the hunt. The first player of the series was crowned last night with Koichi Haruta winning the High Rollers 1 event. We’ve got a brief recap on those events for you below. 

Monster Stack 1 Day 1 results

The festival opener – Monster Stack 1 – attracted 79 to the scene. This was a scheduled two-day event. At bagging time, 18 remained with Tomoharu Furuya as chip leader. Game resumes tomorrow at 1pm. Only 14 players will claim a piece of the KRW 38,315,000 cash pot with the eventual winner due to earn the largest of KRW 10,407,000. 

High Rollers

While the Monster Stack occupied a large part of the floor, the High Rollers event filled up one table with 8 players in action. This was the first of seven high rollers events scheduled. Buy-in was KRW 3,200,000 for a prize pool of KRW 23,280,000. Only two players earned a cut. Koichi Haruta defeated fellow pro Iori Yogo for the title and pocketed the larger prize money of KRW 16,296,000. Yogo earned KRW 6,984,000 for runner-up. 

APT Player of the Series

With one event completed, the APT Player of the Series race has begun. All APT games – except the Super High Rollers- are point-generating. The top three players in points at the end of the festival wins special prizes and cold hard cash. Currently on top is High Rollers 1 winner Koichi Haruta, Iori Yogo is in second rank.
