Christophe Laurent Leads APT Noumea 2016 Opening Event with 56 Players Remaining

The APT Noumea 2016 continues today with Day 2 of the Opening Event at the Casinos de Noumea with a combined total of 171 entries for a prize pool of more than XPF 500,000!

As expected, majority of the field hail from New Caledonia followed by the French. There were still some APT regulars making it to Day 2 of the event like Tetsuya Tsuchikawa leading the Japanese contingent, Vi Vee Goldman from the Philippines, Nguyen Hoang Long representing Vietnam, Australia’s Anthony Hope and the current 2016 APT Player of the Year standings leader – Iori Yogo of Japan.

At the end of the day, it was France’s Christophe Laurent who bagged up the largest amount of chips (143,500). Laurent leads the remaining 56-player field into Day 2 of the Opening Event with 18 places in the money and the top spot paying out XPF 1,258,300 along with the first APT Side Event Champion’s trophy in Noumea, New Caledonia.
