Andre Moracchini is APT Noumea 2017 Main Event Champion and Player of the Series

New Caledonia’s Andre Moracchini is the first-ever to win both the APT Main Event and APT Player of the Series at the same event!

Moracchini was on fire throughout the APT Noumea 2017 held at the Casinos De Noumea. First, he took down the Head Hunter event and right after jumped into Day 1A of the Main Event wherein he finished second in the chip standings. The following day, he joined the Monster Stack event which he also won last year. After successfully defending his title as APT Noumea Monster Stack Champion, he went on to a runner up finish in the NLH Two-Day Event just before the start of the Main Event Final Eight.

At heads up of the Main Event, Moracchini had a mammoth 10:1 chip lead against Jean-Pierre Gauvan. It was not surprising to see Gauvan all in with a call from Moracchini after the first few hands…

Moracchini: A 10
Gauvan: 4 4

The window card on the flop was a 10 to put Andre ahead while the rest of the board blanked to move all the chips to Moracchini’s corner. Relive the action of the Final 8 though the APT Noumea 2017 Main Event Final Eight Live Stream page
